IBM® Kenexa® BrassRing® on Cloud (BrassRing) supports1 its solutions on a variety of operating systems2, web browsers3 and mobile devices4; provided that point releases and security patches are applied as recommended by the vendor. New browser versions are also supported as indicated by a ‘+’ symbol. For example, support for 41+ indicates support for point releases post Firefox 41 upon official release.

IBM is committed to our clients' security needs while using the IBM Kenexa BrassRing products. Because of this commitment and because vendors typically drop security (and non-security) patches for non-supported browsers, IBM advises clients when vendors end browser version support.

Microsoft has issued the following statement: "Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of available for a supported operating system will receive technical support and security updates." You can view more about the Microsoft support statement on the Microsoft website: ://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/microsoft-internet-explorer. IBM Kenexa BrassRing will no longer support IE 8, 9, and 10 after January 12, 2016.

The IBM Kenexa BrassRing products will continue to work using older browser versions but support for those browsers will change. As of 1/12/2016, IBM Kenexa will no longer test and resolve IE8, IE9, and IE10 issues directly related to the IE8, IE9, and IE 10 browser. Any reported issues will be reviewed but more recent, widely used browsers will take priority. All current defects that are logged only against those browsers will be given a downgraded priority and may eventually be closed without a fix. This is in response to decreased usage of IE8, IE9, and IE10 as well as known security risks after January 12, 2016 when Microsoft will no longer issue security updates for these browsers. Browser Support Tables The following table includes updated browser support for BrassRing products. For information on browser support for the Responsive BrassRing, refer to Responsive Experience.

The BrassRing team does regular development and testing for our supported platforms. Unlisted 1 (“unsupported ”) platforms may also work with a given application; it’s just that we don’t develop for those platforms. Note: We will discontinue our support of platforms which are no longer supported by the company which owns the platform (e.g., when Microsoft drops support for IE9, so do we, even if it is listed above). Indicated browsers are supported variously on Windows, Linux (9) or Macintosh OSX 10.6, 10.7, 10.8, and 2 10.9 in alignment with the browser manufacturers’ supported operating systems and associated browsers. Operating system and browser patches must be current. Web browsers should be configured to accept cookies and allow popups, with browser security settings set to 3 medium or lower (and/or our applications are in “trusted sites” list). Certain Android and iOS Mobile Devices (with built-in browsers) are supported for certain applications. 4 IE 8, 9, and 10 are no longer supported by Microsoft, since January, 2016. 5 In accordance with Microsoft's published changes to their support model for IE browser, as of January 12, 2016, BrassRing will support only the latest version as follows: • IE11 running on Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10. Microsoft Announcement: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/gp/microsoft-internet-explorer

BrassRing is also supported on Firefox 9+ for Linux. For Windows and OS X (Apple) systems, Firefox 6 browser should have the most recent version with all necessary security patches per automatic updates (enabled by default on installation), unless users are on Firefox “ESR” (Extended Service Release), in which case, they should be on the latest ESR version with all point releases installed. Safari 6+ is only available on Macintosh computers. Windows support extends up to Safari 5. 7 For Windows and OS X (Apple) systems, Chrome browser should have the most recent version with all 8 necessary security patches per automatic updates (enabled by default on installation). Rapidhire is optimized for iPad, supports Android™ and iOS tablets as well as desktop browsers as per our 9 browser support chart. Limitation with Safari browsers for clients using iframes to host Talent Gateways: by default, Safari prevents a 10 web page from setting cookies if it is hosted in a frame with a domain different from the parent's (e.g., when frameset is from HR_Client.com and TG's frame is sjobs.BrassRing.com). One workaround to avoid the cookie restriction is to update your custom text on the TG landing page and request Safari/Mac users to click a link that will launch the TG in a separate window. Mobile Apply is a mobile-optimized display for Talent Gateways which is supported on mobile devices 11 (phones and tablets) using Android 4.4 and higher and on Apple iOS8 and higher. Browser and mobile device support development for the responsive experience for Talent Gateways is ongoing. For details, see Browser and Device Support – Responsive Experience. For specific mobile device support for Lead Manager, see Browser and Device Support – Responsive 12 Experience.

As with all browsers on the supported list, this means we have tested and remediated browser issues for the major work flows. After placing the browser on the supported browser list, we continue to evaluate work flows and remediate issues as they arise. Users accessing infrequently used work flows may experience a browser issue. When such issues occur, the user should report the issue through the normal ticket process, at which time BrassRing Engineering will evaluate and subsequently address the issue.

Responsive Experience Candidate Experience and Responsive Talent Gateways BrassRing's responsive experience is designed to provide an optimal viewing and interactive experience across a wide range of devices, from desktop to mobile. Although the BrassRing responsive applications are device agnostic, browser support is finite and does not include all existing devices, mobile operating systems, and browsers.

Lead Manager Recruiter and Candidate experience are supported in Lead Manager as shown in the Browser and Device Support table.

©.Copyright IBM Corporation, 2015-2017. All rights reserved 6 Version Support IBM Kenexa BrassRing will support, actively test, and fix defects for the most recent deployed versions of selected operating systems and browsers. Beta versions will not be supported.

BrassRing responsive experience products are designed to work with all operating systems, browsers, and devices (via responsive design) even though we do not actively support all devices, operating systems, and browsers. Browser and Device Support – Responsive Experience
