Presentation of abstracts: Only one abstract is permitted as first author. Abstracts should adhere to the following format: title (in all capital letters, centered and limited to 20 words), author(s) with the name of the speaker underlined, institution(s), email address, country, the proposed thematic area for the work, the preferred mode for presentation and any required audiovisual media. Each abstract should be no more than 250 words, in 12-point Arial font, single spaced, written in Word version 6.0 or higher, and should include: introduction, objectives, methods, results and conclusions. Submissions should not contain citations or bibliographical references. Only works whose first authors who have paid the corresponding registration fee can be presented at the congress.

Publication of Congress Contributions: The abstracts or papers submitted to the event will be published on a CD that will be delivered free of charge to registered delegates. Contributions are limited to a maximum length of 15 pages (letter size, 216 x 279 mm), in 12-point Arial font, 1.5 line spacing, with bibliography, graphics and tables included, and submitted in Word

Those who wish to publish their full presentations in the CD should send them by email to: [email protected]. Submission deadline: November 12, 2019. The official convention language is Spanish, however contributions in English, French and Portuguese will be accepted. Simultaneous translation will only be provided for the III Conference of the Society for Medical Anthropology.

Payment of the registration fee

Payment of the registration fee will be made directly at the Havana Convention Center at the time of accreditation.

Foreign participants: 250 CUC Students*: 175 CUC Non-presenting guests: 100 CUC * Limited to only undergraduate students who provide official certification of their status from their educational institution.

The price of the registration fee includes: Delegates and students: Accreditation, participation in scientific and social activities, documentation, and attendance and author certificates. Non-presenting guests/companions: Accreditation, participation in opening and closing events, and social activities.

The registration fee and other payments made in Cuba must be made in Convertible Cuban Pesos (CUC), the official circulating currency in the country. CUCs can be obtained upon arrival to Cuba at the airport, or in hotels, bank branches, exchange offices or at the Convention Center according to the prevailing daily rate.

The exchangeable currencies are: Euros, US dollars, Canadian dollars, Mexican pesos, Sterling pounds and Swiss francs.

Payments can also be made through VISA, Master Card, CABAL and Visa Electron credit cards as long as the cards are not issued by US banks.

You will receive a response email with a link to a secure site where you will be able to pay the registration fee with a credit card or a bank transfer. If paying through a bank transfer, please provide the name of the bank account owner.

Accreditation: Once you arrive in the Convention Center, please go to the Office of Accreditation and show your proof of payment. You will receive your event badge and documents.

The Convention Center is an institution of undisputed prestige in Cuba that specializes in events and conferences.
