IST Monsoon Watch ♦ The Low Pressure Area over south Chhattisgarh & neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 4.5 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists. ♦ The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Bikaner, Ajmer, Shivpuri, Centre of Low Pressure Area over south Chhattisgarh & neighbourhood, Vishakhapatnam and thence southeastwards to Westcentral Bay of Bengal. ♦ The cyclonic circulation over east Vidarbha & neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level has merged with the cyclonic circulation associated with the Low Pressure Area over south Chhattisgarh & neighbourhood Main Weather Observations Heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rainfall observed at most places over Vidarbha and West Madhya Pradesh, at many places over Chhattisgarh and at few places over East Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorm observed at isolated places over Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. No large change in maximum temparatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 3-4 days . Minimum Temperature No large change in mimimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. They were normal over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. Khandwa recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.0 degree celsius.
