CAREER RECORD AS A HEAD COACH 290-224 (.564 winning pct. / 16th season) Gregory, who has previously led programs at Georgia Tech (2011-16) and Dayton (2003-11) and spent nearly a decade as an assistant coach under Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo, brought 248 career head coaching wins and six postseason appearances, including the 2010 NIT championship, to Tampa. RECORD AS USF’S HEAD COACH 42-44 (.488 winning pct. / 3rd season) In his first season at USF, Gregory led the Bulls to the team’s first double-digit win season since the 2013-14 season and tripled the team’s conference win total from the previous season. The Bulls ended the regular season with back-to-back victories over Memphis and SMU, marking the first time since 2016 that the team won consecutive conference games. The HONORS 75-51 victory at Memphis was the Tigers’ worst home loss in 19 years. • 1988 Great Lakes Intercollegiate All-Conference • 1989 Great Lakes Intercollegiate All-Conference Gregory coached the team’s first American Athletic Conference All-Rookie honoree since 2016 in freshman David Collins. • 1990 Great Lakes Intercollegiate All-Conference Collins capped off his impressive freshman campaign by being named the conference’s final Rookie of the Week and scoring 30 points in the first round of the conference tournament in Orlando, becoming only the fifth Bulls freshman in history to • 1990 Academic All-American reach the 30-point plateau. Additionally, the Bulls also set an AAC single-season records for free throws made and attempted. 2003-04 Dayton Head Coach 24-9/NCAA First Round Individually, the Bulls featured the 2019 AAC Defensive Player of the Year in guard Laquincy Rideau and the 2019 AAC Fresh- 2004-05 Dayton Head Coach 18-11 man of the Year in forward Alexis Yetna. Rideau became the first player in school history to win a defensive player of the year 2005-06 Dayton Head Coach 14-17 award. Yetna was tabbed the second freshman of the year in school history and first since 1979. Rideau and Collins were both named All-Conference Third Team to become the first players at USF to make all-conference in The American. Collins 2006-07 Dayton Head Coach 19-12 was also tabbed the CBI Most Valuable Player and Rideau was one of only three players in the NCAA with 100 assists and 2007-08 Dayton Head Coach 23-11/NIT Quarterfinals 100 steals. Rideau ended the season with 189 assists and 101 steals to become the first player in AAC history to lead the league in both assists and steals. Collins scored 587 points and had the sixth-most single-season points in school history 2008-09 Dayton Head Coach 27-8/NCAA Second Round and the ninth-most in league history. Gregory helped Yetna become only the fifth player in school history with 300 rebounds 2009-10 Dayton Head Coach 25-12/NIT Champions in a season.
