Last season at three, Win Win Win set a new track record at Tampa Bay Downs in winning the Pasco Stakes, an early prep for the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) in his sophomore bow. He drew off powerfully in the seven-furlong test, speeding to a seven-and-a- quarter-length score in the stakes and track-record time of 1:20.89, earning a 2 on the Ragozin Sheets. Demonstrating his versatility, Win Win Win also took down the Manila Stakes at one mile on turf at , polishing off the distance in 1:31.56, just one-fifth of a second off the course record set by Oscar Performance. Prior to that impressive score, Win Win Win finished second to multiple Grade 1 winner Vekoma in the Blue Grass Stakes (G2). A precocious juvenile, Win Win Win won two of his three starts as a 2-year-old, taking a six-and-a-half-furlong maiden spe- cial weight at Laurel in his career debut before crushing allowance foes by six-and-a-half lengths in a lively 1:02.30 for five-and-a-half furlongs in his next start. He also finished second in the seven-furlong Heft Stakes at Laurel to close out his juvenile campaign. “The combination of Win Win Win’s tremendous talent and the opportunity he will receive at Ocala Stud is why we’re so excited to partner on his stallion career,” said Airdrie Stud’s Bret Jones. “No one will give this horse a better chance to succeed than Ocala Stud and we look forward to doing our part by supporting him heavily in each of his early years at stud. I know the Live Oak team has always believed he was a genuine star, and we are grate- ful to Mrs. Weber for letting Airdrie play a role in his exciting future.” Classically bred with record-setting speed, Win Win Win, by Champion Miler and Grade 1 winner Hat Trick (Jpn), hails from a deep Live Oak family. Hollywood Gold Cup (Grade 1), Whitney (G1) and (G1)-winner Improbable is the 5-2 morning-line favorite in the Classic (G1) and is the leader of Baffert’s powerful trio of entrants, which includes Kentucky Derby winner and Saudi Cup and Pacific Classic winner Maximum Security. This will be Baffert’s 12th consecutive year with a starter in the Classic and the sixth time he has had more than one runner. In 2017 at Del Mar he saddled four horses in the Classic: Collected, who finished second; , third; Arrogate, fifth; Mubtaahij (eighth). Since his Classic debut with Silver Charm’s runner-up finish in 1998, Baffert has had 23 starters in the race and has an in-the-money record of three wins, four seconds and two thirds. The Baffert caravan that Barnes and Hutton prepared for had Princess Noor, the 9-5 morning line favorite in the Juvenile Fillies, Gamine, the 7-5 morning line favorite in the Filly and Mare Sprint, and the 2-year-old colt Classier, who is 15-1 in the Juvenile. Global Campaign – Sagamore Farm LLC and WinStar Farm LLC’s Global Campaign galloped a mile-and-a- quarter at Churchill Downs Tuesday morning in prepara- tion for a planned start in Saturday’s Classic. “He’ll gallop early in the morning [Wednesday] at Churchill, then ship around 8:00 to Keeneland,” trainer Stanley Hough said. The 4-year-old son of has won six of nine starts during a career that has been frequently interrupted by foot issues. This year he has won three of four starts, including a victory in the Monmouth Cup and his first Grade 1 win in the Woodward at Saratoga in his two most recent starts. “His last couple races brought him back to where I hoped he would be. We’re still fighting all his little foot issues, but I believe he’s going into it really well,” Hough said. I didn’t want the one or the outside,” Sadler said. “He will get a stalking trip.” Tacitus – Farms homebred Tacitus left Barn 60 on Tuesday morning and proceeded to gallop a circuit of the Keeneland main track with trainer Bill Mott watching on his pony. Tagg acknowledged that he doesn’t know for sure that the colt dislikes being on the inside – he has two wins from post three – but said the draw would force Franco to be aggressive when the gates open. “I guess he’s going to have to let him run away from there a little bit so he can get a position. I don’t want a whole crowd on his outside,” Tagg said. “That’s all we can do, let him run away from there like he did in the Florida Derby (G1). Ideally, if Baffert’s horses would team up there on the front end; with a deal like that we could sit off them a couple of lengths and just be outside couple of lengths.” Tiz the Law rolled up victories in the Curlin Florida Derby, the (G1) and the Travers (G1) prior to the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1) won by Authentic. He was given time to recover from his effort in the Derby and did not run in the Preakness. However, the talented 4-year-old has since scratched due to a fever developed Tuesday. – The veteran Whitmore got reacquainted with the Keeneland track Tuesday morning after arriving Monday after- noon from his Churchill base and galloped a mile-and-a-half under regular rider Laura Moquett, wife and assistant to her hus- band trainer Ron Moquett, as he prepares for his fourth start in the Sprint. Whitmore, who was second in the Sprint in 2018 and third last year, has prepped for each of his Breeders’ Cup starts in the Grade 2 Stoll Keenon Ogden Phoenix Stakes (G2) at Keeneland and has a record of one win and two seconds in four tries. He was fourth in the race this year. “He’s doing great,” said Moquett, who also co-owns the geld- ing with Robert LaPenta and Sol Kumin’s Head of Plains Partners. “He’s doing very good right now, we’re excited. The Ohio native, who has won 1,350 races to date, got to celebrate his first Grade 1 victory when Dayoutoftheoffice defeated fellow Juvenile Fillies entrant Vequist by two lengths in the Oct. 10 at Belmont Park. “It’s kind of crazy that one horse with ability can change a lot of things for you and give you a little brighter future,” Hamm said. Girl Daddy – Undefeated Girl Daddy and Dale Romans’ three other Breeders’ Cup entrants (Sittin On Go, Sally’s Curlin and Mr Freeze) galloped a mile-and-one-half at Keeneland Tuesday morn- ing.
