The study presents the first localities of Callopistria latreillei (DUP .), a new species for Ukraine fauna. The species was found in the Zakarpatie in south-western Ukraine. Also the localities for 2 rare noctuid moths species for Ukrainie are given. That was the first time those spe- cies were reported from Zakarpatie. KEY WORDS: Lepidoptera, Noctuidae, faunistics, new records, Ukraine. INTRODUCTION The genus Callopistria HÜBNER , [1821], includes about 120 species (POOLE 1989), out of which 26 species occur in the Palearctic. Only 2 species of the genus have been found in Europe so far (FIBIGER & HACKER 2007), and one of them has been reported from Ukraine (KLJUCHKO 2006). During field study of noctuid moths in south-western Ukraine in Zakarpatie Callopis- tria latreillei (DUPONCHEL , 1827) was first reported from Ukraine (Fig. 1). - Ukraine, Zakarpatie, Vynohradiv: in two localities on the slopes of Chorna Hora: 28 July 2009, 1 ex. was caught on light in dry sward of forest-steppe nature on the southern slope of Chorna Hora; 16 September 2009, 1 ex. -

ABSTRACT Title of dissertation: TELEVISION NEWS AND THE STATE IN LEBANON Jad P. Melki, Doctor of Philosophy, 2008 Dissertation directed by: Professor Susan D. Moeller College of Journalism This dissertation studies the relationship between television news and the state in Lebanon. It utilizes and reworks New Institutionalism theory by adding aspects of Mitchell’s state effect and other concepts devised from Carey and Foucault. The study starts with a macro-level analysis outlining the major cultural, economic and political factors that influenced the evolution of television news in that country. It then moves to a mezzo-level analysis of the institutional arrangements, routines and practices that dominated the news production process. Finally, it zooms in to a micro-level analysis of the final product of Lebanese broadcast news, focusing on the newscast, its rundown and scripts and the smaller elements that make up the television news story. The study concludes that the highly fragmented Lebanese society generated a similarly fragmented and deeply divided political/economic elite, which used its resources and access to the news media to solidify its status and, by doing so, recreated and confirmed the politico-sectarian divide in this country. In this vicious cycle, the institutionalized and instrumentalized television news played the role of mediator between the elites and their fragmented constituents, and simultaneously bolstered the political and economic power of the former while keeping the latter tightly held in their grip. The hard work and values of the individual journalist were systematically channeled through this powerful institutional mechanism and redirected to serve the top of the hierarchy. -

PLANT1*, STOYAN BESHKOV2, PREDRAG JAKŠIĆ3, ANA NAHIRNIĆ2 114 West Road, Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire, CM23 3QP, England 2National Museum of Natural History, Sofia, Bulgaria 3Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics, University of Priština, Kosovska Mitrovica, Serbia ABSTRACT Pyraloidea (Lepidoptera: Crambidae & Pyralidae) were sampled in the territories of southern Serbia, Montenegro, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania on a total of 53 occasions during 2014, 2016 and 2017. A total of 173 species is reported here, comprising 97 Crambidae and 76 Pyralidae. Based upon published data, 29 species appear to be new to the fauna of Serbia, 5 species are new to the fauna of Macedonia and 37 are new to the fauna of Albania. The data are discussed. Codonoprasum, is described and illustrated from northern Cyprus. It is a very circumscribed geophyte growing on the calcareous cliffs of the Kyrenia range. This diploid species, with a somatic chromosome number 2n = 16, shows close morphological relationships with A. stamineum, a species complex distributed in the eastern Mediterranean area. Its morphology, karyology, leaf anatomy, ecology, conservation status and taxonomical relationships with the allied species belonging to the A. stamineum group are examined. Key words: Allium sect.
