Run Holly RunBy AnonymousI was delighted to see that Ms. Coleman's book is on the market again. I ordered it immediately and read it in one day. How well I remember when Land of the Lost came on Saturday afternoons back in the 70s. We used to wish that the show was reality and that school on Monday was only a dream! While I would've liked to see a more in-depth account in some places, I thank Ms. Coleman and all those who contributed to her book for sharing so many things with the reader. I saw some parallels with my own life - processes, feelings, relationships, overload, and the unfairness that I guess we all experience at times. My mouth actually dropped open in some places. My favorite chapter was the Epilogue, involving the elusive Spencer Milligan. I guess the whole world wondered what happened to him. But even beyond that, I was intrigued by the process of how the group found him and the emotional aftermath. I was delighted to see a photo of four of the LOTL principals (Coleman, Eure, Paley and Milligan) as they appear today. And may I say that you all look great! An actor once told me that when playing to a black box (camera), he often wondered, "Is anyone there?" Many actors wonder if their work is actually reaching anyone. To Ms. Coleman, Mr. Eure, Mr. Paley and Mr. Milligan, I say that yes, your work did reach many people and provided a good example for those who watched the show.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Everyones first crush!By THE GORNLoved it! So cool to hear stories about Land of the Lost from her perspective. Another reviewer claims she blames everyone else for the problems she went through and thinks the world owes her something . I didn't get that at all from the book. How do you tell your life story without including all the characters both negative and positive? She fully admits making some bad choices. All in all any Land of the Lost fan will love this one. She also shares some great pics at the end. And explains what happened with the searching for spencer documentary. Keep Rocking Kathleen!!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I have to come to Kathleen a lot better and feel like we are brother and sister nowBy Charles MoskowitzI recently read Kathleen's book and It really caught my attention. I couldn't put it down. I have to come to Kathleen a lot better and feel like we are brother and sister now. I told Kathleen about me being bullied and I wish so much to wipe away all the times we got hit all the time by different situations. I have to recommend Kathy's book and you will really get to know her. I feel like we knew each other since our ages were single digits.I love you Kathleen. :D "Run, Holly, Run!" is the often funny, but sometimes harrowing true story of former child actress Kathy Colemanmdash;who starred in the hit 1970s show "Land of the Lost." Kathy grew up fatherless in Southern California in the 1960s as the last child in a family of ten children. Her bright smile and blonde curls got her into television commercials at a very young age, and by the time she was 10 she was touring the country and recording as the youngest member of a popular musical group. Kathy played the role of ldquo;Hollyrdquo; on the 1974-1977 NBC Saturday morning series produced by H.R. Pufnstuf creators Sid and Marty Krofft, featuring state-of-the-art special effects and written by some of the biggest names in literary science fiction. "Land of the Lost" was known for its intelligent scripts and original conceptsmdash;from an alternate universe inhabited by dinosaurs, to primate-like Pakuni and lizard creature Sleestaks to dimension-hopping Pylons. It became the most successful Saturday morning program of the decade. When it finished its network run, the show went directly into syndicated reruns that continue to this day. It is this show for which Kathy is most remembered. The bookrsquo;s titlemdash;"Run, Holly, Run!"mdash;is taken from the oft-repeated instructions of her TV brother, Will, played by Wesley Eure. "Run, Holly, Run!" details the making of "Land of the Lost" and how the series gave Kathy fame, fun, lifelong friendships, and a positive father figure, while also leading to a few heartaches, troubles, and trauma. Learn what happened after the series ended!
