Senior Ako Adams is 11-14 2 C-USA Championship second on the team with 10.8 points per game and 3.2 assists per game. He is also fourth in the league in free throw percentage (88.9%). Senior Robert Martin is third on the team with 9.8 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. 1 Islands of the Bahamas Showcase (Nassau, Bahamas) Sophomore Drew Peterson is fourth on the team in scoring (9.5) while leading the squad and tying for ninth in C-USA with 2 Conference USA Championship (Frisco, Texas) 6.5 rebounds per game. He’s also leads the team lead with 3.3 assists. All times are central and subject to change • Murphy was named the Conference USA Player of the Week after averaging 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in BOLD indicates home games leading Rice to a pair of road victories this week, including scoring a career-high 25 points at Northwestern State. • Over the last five games, Rice is averaging 79.0 points per game while allowing 70.6. Rice is hitting 44.9% from the field and 39.9% from three while outrebounding the opposition, 40.4-to-35.6. • Rice will play either Liberty or Morgan State tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 23 on the second day of the Islands of the Baha- mas Showcase. Smith will develop and lead UST’s inaugural basketball team which is set to take the court for the first time in 2009-2010 school year. He will assume his post at UST as of June 1. Smith served as the top assistant basketball coach at Rice University from 1996 to 2007. On the basketball court, his duties included player development, strength and conditioning, and the planning and implementation of daily practices. When not on the floor working with one of the Owls, Smith's responsibilities included scheduling, travel, fundraising, academics, office administration and summer camp.
