Pearl and gems emporium continues seventh day in Nay Pyi Taw

THE seventh day of sales of pearl and gems in Myanmar Kyats continued yesterday morning at Mani Yadanar Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw following the COVID-19 health guidelines. It was announced that of 450 lots of jade from 451 to 900 lots, 407 jade lots were sold for K3,510,199,708 on the sixth day of the emporium. On the seventh day of the emporium, the gem merchants placed their proposed prices in the tender boxes starting at 8 am after viewing the jade lots displayed in the Jade Hall. The responsible persons will check the bidding prices for jade lots from number 901 to 1350, and the jade lots that are sold will be announced at 8 am today. Similarly, the bidding price proposals for jade lots from (1351) to (1800) will be closed at 11 am. To- day’s sold jade lots will be announced on the morning of 9 April, while the jade lots numbers from (1801) to (2148) sold on 9 April will be announced on the next day. The Union Election Commission has inspected the withdrawal/receipt/use/remaining of ballot papers used for Pyithu Hluttaw Election of Seikpyu, Pauk and Taungd- wingyi townships of Magway Region together with the respective township election sub-commission, head of police force, Immigration and Population and administrator according to the Hluttaw Election Law Section 53. 4. According to the inspection, a total of 600 polling stations in these three townships took out 519,534 ballots and used 343,406 ballots. It left 166,639 ballots instead of 176,128 ballots. The difference was 11,889 and it found 2,400 extra ballots. The extra/shortage ballots and illegal extra ballots were found at respective poll stations. According to the inspection, a total of 103 polling stations in 43 village-tracts in 3 wards of Seikpyu Township in Magway Region took out 99,805 ballots and used 69,584 ballots. It left 31,061 ballots instead of 30,221. The shortage/extra ballots were found at the respective polling stations. Findings were as follows:
