Deaf Link continues to operate at the Galveston Shelter and at the Galveston Shelter. Deaf Link is still operational in the Disaster Recovery Center at the Ellington Field location in Houston. Deaf Link continues to provide accessible information alerts regarding services and assistance for Persons with Disabilities affected by Hurricane Ike. Severe weather alerts and updates to boil water notices continue to be processed by AHAS and AHAS-IN for persons with disabilities from the affected areas that are enrolled in the program. American Red Cross (ARC): The American Red Cross is operating 3 shelters with a population of 429. There are 24 vehicles providing feeding, served 88,056 meals, 3,660,425 meals have been served to- date. There are 645 disaster workers providing these services. Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ): The TCEQ is currently tracking 1133 issued Boil Water Notices with 729 rescinded notices. Approximately 64.34% of the affected systems have lifted their Boil Water Notices at this time. At this time TCEQ is monitoring 175 debris management sites. All of these sites have been visited by TCEQ staff. Site monitoring and additional site visits will continue with up to 3 site visits per location each month until no longer necessary. Air Quality: Yesterday in Houston, ozone reached Level Orange, "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups" and particulate matter (PM2.5) reached "Moderate" levels.

    2 State of the Double Bayou Watershed 2.1 Double Bayou Watershed Overview 2.1.1 Double Bayou landscape The Double Bayou watershed is located on the Upper Texas Gulf Coast and is part of the Galveston Bay watershed (Figure 2-1 Double Bayou watershed). Situated in the eastern portion of the Lower Galveston Bay, it is comprised of two main subwatersheds: East Fork and West Fork, which are also the primary waterways in the watershed. The Double Bayou watershed drains directly into the Trinity Bay system and ultimately into Galveston Bay. The majority (93%) of the watershed lies within Chambers County, Texas. The remaining 7% of the watershed is located in Liberty County, Texas. The Double Bayou watershed drains 98 square miles (61,445 acres) of predominantly rural and agricultural landscape. However, several residential centers are located in the watershed. Figure 2-1 Double Bayou watershed 1 The City of Anahuac, Texas is located on the Trinity River and the northeast bank of Trinity Bay. This rural community is the largest contiguous area of developed land in the watershed. Anahuac has a total area of 1,344 acres (2.1 square miles) and is nine feet above sea level (District 2013). Anahuac is the Chambers County seat, with a 2010 population of 2,243. Much of the middle portion of Chambers county drains into Double Bayou. The unincorporated community of Oak Island is identified by the U.S. Census as a designated place. Oak Island is located at the confluence of the East and West Forks of Double Bayou and Trinity Bay.

Moore Prepared for Frontline Geoservices 4225 Katy Hockley Road Katy, Texas 77493 Prepared by Brazos Valley Research Associates 813 Beck Street Bryan, Texas 77803 ABSTRACT A cultural resources survey of a portion of the Smith Point 3-D seismic project in Chambers County, Texas was performed by Brazos Valley Research Associates (BVRA) in May and June of 2006. Fifteen source points selected for drilling by Yuma Exploration and Production Company of Houston, Texas in high probability areas were shovel tested. No archaeological sites were found, and no artifacts were collected. Copies of this report are on file at the Texas Historical Commission (THC), United States Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District (COE), the Texas Archeological Research Laboratory (TARL), BVRA, Dixie Environmental Services Co., Inc. (DESCO), and Frontline Geoservices, Inc. This work was performed under COE application permit number SWG 05-06-012. ii ACKNOWLEDGMENTS The authors and the staff at DESCO are grateful to the following persons for their assistance. Nicole Minnichbach, archaeologist for the COE, Galveston District; William A.
