Laramie Regional Airport Brief History and Mission Statement ➢ Brees Field Airport Opened in 1934 ➢ 5- Person Joint Powers Board formed in 1965 – Members are jointly appointed by City Council and County Commissioners ➢ Name Changed to Laramie Regional Airport in 1992 ➢ LRA has two All-Weather Runways on 1,600 acres ➢ Home to 40 Based Aircraft ➢ Twice-Daily Jet Service to/from DIA on United Express Airlines – 50 passenger aircraft Brief History and Mission Statement ➢ 10,000 Annual Boardings Entitles LRA to $1,000,000 of FAA Grant Funds to be used on Capital Improvements ➢ LRA is an Essential Air Service Airport - Airline receives an annual subsidy to serve LRA ➢ Airline Passenger #’s Continue to Grow – Total Passengers 2018 – 32,521 ➢ Mission Statement: Provide a safe and secure facility for the benefit of the commercial and general aviation community by providing: services, professional staff, coordination and cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration, Wyoming State Aeronautics Division, Laramie City Council, and the Albany County Commissioners.
