■15 ASSISTANT HEAD COACHES cristina coBB-Adams princeton ‘06 Cristina Cobb-Adams will begin her first year as an assistant softball coach after being hired in June 2013.

Cobb-Adams was an assistant at Portland State under Echo-Hawk during the 2013 season. Prior to Portland State, she had spent the previous five years as an assistant coach at Princeton, her alma mater. Cobb-Adams helped the Tigers to the Ivy League Championship in 2008.

“I’m really excited coach E (Echo-Hawk) wanted to bring me along with her,” Cobb- Adams said. “It’s very fortunate, sometimes it doesn’t always work out that way so I’m glad to be here. I’m excited about the athletic department here; everyone seems to be really nice and very supportive of each other. I can’t wait to start working with the girls.”

The 2006 graduate of Princeton University was a four-year starter at shortstop for the Tigers. She helped guide Princeton to three Ivy League Championships and a trio of NCAA Regional appearances (2003, 2005 and 2006). She earned All-Ivy League honors twice and was a team captain her senior season.

The native of Dublin, Calif. started 201 of Princeton’s 202 games during her career while logging 627 at-bats, fourth most in program history. She completed her playing career with 161 hits, 32 doubles, five triples and 69 RBI while compiling a .257 batting average. Jennifer STalter UTEP ‘10 After coaching as a graduate assistant for the past few seasons, Jennifer Stalter was hired as an assistant coach to mentor the pitching staff. She received her masters in Science and Kinesiology.

Stalter played with the Orange and Blue for three seasons (2007-09). The Casa Grande, Ariz. native hit .243 (83-for-342), 15 long balls and 72 RBI. Stalter lettered all three season, starting 146 of 156 games played. She also contributed 57 runs, 12 doubles, four triples and 11 stolen bases.

Defensively, she ranks fourth all time in double plays turned (17). Stalter recorded two five-RBI games during her career (at Buffalo, Feb. 23, 2007 & vs. Northern Colorado, Feb. 28, 2008).

Her efforts helped the 2009 squad reach the Conference USA softball championship.

During her first season in the Sun City after transferring from Mesa Community College, Stalter hit .306 (37-for-121), six home runs, 32 RBI and seven doubles.

Stalter received her Biology degree from UTEP in 2010 and was named to the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll all three years.

■16 GRADUATE ASSISTANTS SoftBall staff brandi Campos portland state ‘12 Brandi Campos comes to the Sun City after playing outfield/designated player for current UTEP head coach Tobin Echo- Hawk. Echo-Hawk coached at Portland State for five seasons (2009-13). Campos lettered all four years with the Vikings, starting 135 of 187 games played.

During her senior season, Campos hit .224 with one long ball, 11 RBI and scored 11 runs. The native of Roseburg, Ore. tallied 14 doubles, two long balls and 34 RBI during her four seasons.

Her efforts helped the Vikings advance to two NCAA Softball Tournaments (2009, 2011).

Campos received her school health degree from Portland State in 2012 and is currently working towards her masters in education from UTEP. SADIE LOPEZ portland state ‘13 Sadie Lopez comes to UTEP after playing in the outfield for current UTEP head coach Tobin Echo-Hawk from 2010-13. Echo-Hawk was head coach at Portland State for five seasons (2009-13). Lopez lettered all four seasons with the Vikings, starting 168 of 186 games played.

As a senior, Lopez hit .287 (35-of-122), four home runs and 22 RBI. The native of Hillsboro, Ore. also tallied 15 runs and 10 doubles, helping her squad forge a 14-4 Big Sky Conference record.

Lopez recorded 53-career RBI and seven home runs during her career. Lopez was named 2011 first-team All-PCSC Mountain Division, while being named to the PCSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2010-2013).

Her efforts helped Portland State advance to three NCAA Softball Tournaments (2011, 2012, 2013).

Lopez received her social sciences degree from Portland State in 2013 and is currently working towards her masters in education from UTEP.
