A 13-Day Interfaith Journey through Israel and Palestine
13 days / 10 nights
Day 1: Monday, April 22: Departure from USA ______Depart on an overnight flight from Seattle to Tel Aviv, Israel.
Day 2: Tuesday, April 23: Jaffa, Tel Aviv ______Arrive in Israel, visit Jaffa, Kedumim Square, and Tel Aviv. Continue through the Sharon Valley and check-in to the Kibbutz Nahsholim Guest House.
Day 3: Wednesday, April 24: Caesarea, Mount Carmel, Haifa ______Visit Caesarea National Park, Mount Carmel, the altar of Elijah at Muhraka, Haifa, Baha’i Shrine, Nazareth, Mt. Precipici, Mary’s Well, Church of the Annunciation, and the Sea of Galilee.
Day 4: Thursday, April 25: Safed, Upper Galilee, Golan Heights ______Visit Safed, Hula Valley Nature Reserve, Golan Heights, and Caesarea Philippi.
Day 5: Friday, April 26: Sea of Galilee ______Visit the Cliffs of Arbel, Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Capernaum, Beth Saida, and Korazim.
Day 6: Saturday, April 27: Beth Shean, Amman, Petra ______Drive to Beth Shean and continue to Jordan, crossing the Sheikh Hussein Bridge. See Amman en- route to Petra.
Day 7: Sunday, April 28: Petra, King's Highway, Dead Sea ______Visit Petra and the siq. Drive along the King’s Highway to the Dead Sea.
Day 8: Monday, April 29: Dead Sea, Allenby Bridge, Jericho, Masada, Jerusalem ______Morning visit to Mt. Nebo before crossing Allenby Bridge into Israel. Visit Jericho, Qumran, Masada, and arrive into Jerusalem.
Day 9: Tuesday, April 30: Hebron, Bethlehem ______Visit Il Ibrahimi Mosque, Solomon’s Pools, the “Shepherds’ Fields,” Herodium, Bethlehem and the Holy Child School. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Wednesday, May 1: The Archeology of Jerusalem ______Explore the Old City Walls, examine the ruins of the Temple complex, spend time at the Western Wall and view the Dome of the Rock, the Jewish Quarter, the City of David, Hezekiah’s tunnel, and time at leisure in Jerusalem.
Day 11: Thursday, May 2: Around the City of Jerusalem ______Visit the Mount of Olives, the Old City of Jerusalem, Church of Gethsemane, the Kidron Valley, Zechariah’s Tomb, Peter in Gallicantu, Upper Room, and King David’s Tomb.
Day 12: Friday, May 3: The Old City ______Visit the crusader Church of St. Anne, Pools of Bethesda, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Garden Tomb, and leisure time in Jerusalem. Celebrate Shabbat before a farewell dinner. Transfer to the airport for a late-night departure.
Day 13: Saturday, May 4: Return Home ______Return to the US.
