rayman raving iso download Raving Rabbids. I Must Admit to not liking the limbless French platforming hero's previous games, having dismissed them as sub- kids' fodder with unfathomable Gallic humour. However, having just slammed a toilet door in the face of a cartoon rabbit straining to have a dump, I find myself grinning like a lobotomised audience member of the Price Is Right. Created by , the man behind the Rayman series as well as Beyond Good & Evil. Raving Rabbids sees Rayman captured by a bunch of psychotic bunnies who throw him into a gladiatorial arena and challenge him with an eclectic collection of over 70 daft but entertaining mini- games. Expect to be disco dancing (rhythm action by tapping the left and right mouse buttons); throwing Daisy the cow (a discus-throwing sports event played by rotating the mouse 360-degrees and pressing a button to fling the startled moo-er); and saving baby Globox (a Time Crisis-style on-rails shooter with sink plungers). Despite the odd dud game every now and again, most are decent throwaway thrashes, but I can't help thinking that this would be far more enjoyable played on the Nintendo Wii consoles remote controller - which is obviously what Raving Rabbids was designed for. On PC, the simple thrills become depressingly desk-bound, with the clunky mouse control not quite matching the wildly exuberant art style, animation and sound effects. Raving Rabbids has multiplayer, but its the impractical offline variety of gathering round the monitor. Ultimately, its decent short-lived fun, but is this really what you bought your games PC for? Rayman Raving Rabbids is probably the weirdest of the Wii's launch titles and it's also probably the best showcase of what exactly the Wii's unique controls are capable of. This game harnesses every aspect of the Wii's design to provide a game that's both ridiculously fun to play with friends and just plain hilarious to watch. Our story kicks off with Rayman being kidnapped by a group of strange and nefarious bunnies. These diabolical rabbids have a fiendish hankering for entertainment and force Rayman to compete in their arena packed full with bizarre and often manic . Don't be misled by the presence of Rayman in this game, this is not a platformer. Rayman Rayman Raving Rabbids is a massive collection of minigames themed around the titular rabbids. The single player mode follows Rayman's path towards fame and freedom as he beats his captor's trials, and serves as a bit of an introduction to the 70 or so minigames available. All these games can be later revisited for some multiplayer fun or to unlock extra goodies like amusing clips featuring the rabbids. Most of the minigames are great fun, and they all shine because they'll have you physically doing things you probably never imagined yourself doing with a video game. For example, one of the trials tasks you with hurling a cow attached to a chain as far as possible. To accomplish this you'll have to madly swing the controller over your head like a lasso until you build up enough momentum and let fly. Another set of minigames puts you in the middle of a rail shooter as you use the Wiimote like a gun and blow away rabbids. There is even a well executed set of rhythm games that have you using the Wiimote and nunchuk controllers like drumsticks as you play along with songs such as 'La Bamba'?. The rabbids really steal the show when it comes to this game's presentation. Their blank stares and wildly silly antics are tremendously endearing, and the pre and post game skits they do will have you laughing out loud. That said, Rayman Raving Rabbids doesn't look particularly amazing from a technical standpoint and graphically speaking it looks like it could have easily been accomplished on an older system. This isn't too much of an issue however since the overall charm of the game does a good job of obfuscating this shortcoming. At this early stage most of us are still wondering what exactly the Wii is about and what it can do, along those lines Rayman Raving Rabbids is definitely an excellent proof of concept. Moreover Rayman Raving Rabbids is just good clean fun and an excellent way to show off your Wii to a bunch of friends. Rayman Raving Rabbids. This is much more than a minigame collection. Most minigame collections have no storyline while this game has a compelling storyline that keeps you wanting to play. The games are very creative in their use of the remote, and nearly all of them are very fun, yet if you do run into a game that you find too frustrating, you can skip it and still move on with the story. Definitely to be played in story mode with a few friends. It's a total blast to take turns beating the individual challenges because it's almost as much fun to watch somebody play as it is to play yourself. For people in my generation that grew up on Bugs Bunny cartoon before they went politically correct, the humor in this game will bring the kid in you flooding back. … Expand. Rayman raving rabbids wii iso download. Rayman's fourth installment in the series is filled with rabbit mashing mini games sprinkled with some unique charm. Ubisoft changes their direction and pumps out a more attention deficit version of their classic armless hero, Rayman. He might not have arms, and your arms might get tired, its time to pick up your plunger as we rave on about Rayman Raving Rabbids. Michel Ancel the man behind the original Rayman and one of the best games no one played, Beyond Good and Evil thought up the Raving Rabbids idea and penned it out to work with the unique traits of the Nintendo Wii. Instantly the original and wacky Rayman Raving Rabbids is a must have game for the Nintendo Wii. In Rayman Raving Rabbids you will face more than 70 trials which play out like little mini games. All the mini-games can be replayed in the Score mode, so if you unlocked a few you liked in the normal Story Mode you can retry your luck. High Scores and making it through the story mode is your main objective, but for those ultra competitive types you can even check your scores online with a unique web code on the Rayman official site. In the Story Mode you have to complete three trails and a boss match up over a fifteen day period which follows Rayman being imprisoned. Winning means Rayman will get a plunger which he builds a ladder to escape from his cell. The plot isn't really much, but at least it sets up a good enough excuse to run through a bunch of varied games. Besides winning the game, you unlock more trials as you go along, and extra costumes and music. The costumes can be pretty funny and the usually have a cultural reference to them like music, Rayman also spoofs a number of games including Ubisoft's own Splinter Cell. The enemy in Rayman is the Rabbids, yes, rabbids, and not rabbits, more like rabid rabbits (say that ten times fast). These rabbids provide a fun challenge for Rayman and range from the normal to Austin Powers Laser Rabbids, to insane toilet war fighters. No one ever said it had to make sense. Animals are the theme of this Rayman adventure and even though the rabbit creatures are focused you will spot other four legged creatures. For more detail the mini games could be separated into four categories, Sports, Skill, First Person Shooter and Dancing games. The Sports games will have you hammering a Rabbids head, kicking a Rabbid into soccer net and more sport games. Skill games have you doing more precise actions like making Rabbids attack each other or just the simple act of throwing plungers at a wheeled up spinning Rabbid. The First Person Shooter levels are self explanatory with theme levels and lastly Shake Your Booty! With everything from Rock to Hip Hop and more. Ubisoft even went so far to license music tracks like the appropriately named "Hip Hop Hooray" by Naughty by Nature. It's hard to pick a favorite game and I'm sure every gamer will vary on what they like and don't like. It's good the assortment is wide, Rayman Raving Rabbids provides an activity to please every gamer. One problem with Rayman Raving Rabbids is the contrived feeling it gives off as a gimmick game, but this is a natural feeling when dealing with the Nintendo Wii. Contrived or not, Raving Rabbids is still fun. Another issue which has been catching some slack is a misprinted manual that says the game can support 480 progressive scan mode. For me it's not a major issue since its running interlaced at 480, but it's a little sad that the PAL release was fully upgraded to run at the higher scan rate. For complaints Rayman Raving Rabbids doesn't do so badly and if you can accept a slightly lower resolution and a bunch of mini games you might not complain at all. Served with a side dish of humor, Rayman Raving Rabbids makes use of the Nintendo Wii's motion sensor and gives the next best answer to a Wario game. Ubisoft made a wise choice switching their Rayman format to cash in on Nintendo's new console. Rayman Raving Rabbids is a treat and an unexpected hit. Highly Recommended.
