Situated at the crossroads between Central and Southeast Europe, Serbia covers the southern part of the Pannonian Plain and the central Balkans. The country has a total population of approximately 7 million people, 59.4% of which reside in urban areas. Belgrade is the capital of the country. According to the IMF, Serbian nominal GDP in 2017 is officially estimated at $39.366 billion or $5,599 per capita. The economy is dominated by services which accounts for 60.8% of GDP, followed by industry with 31.3% of GDP, and agriculture at 7.9% of GDP. The official currency of Serbia is Serbian dinar (ISO code: RSD), and the central bank is National Bank of Serbia. The Belgrade Stock Exchange is the only stock exchange in the country, with market capitalization of $8.65 billion and BELEX15 as the main index representing the 15 most liquid stocks. In the recent years, Serbia has seen a major increase of foreign investments, especially from European Union countries. Blue-chip corporations making investments include: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Siemens, Bosch, Philip Morris, Michelin, Coca-Cola, Carlsberg and others. In the energy sector, Russian energy giants, Gazprom and Lukoil have made large investments. The country has free trade agreements with the EFTA and CEFTA, a preferential trade regime with the European Union, a Generalized System of Preferences with the United States, and individual free trade agreements with Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Turkey. Sombor Sombor is located in the extreme northwest of Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina, bordering Hungary to the North and Croatia on the West, across the Danube River. The Sombor District has an area of 1,178 square kilometers, comprising the city of Sombor and 15 rural settlements. Sombor municipality had a total population of 97,263 with half the population in the city itself, and half in rural and farm settlements. Further, Sombor municipality is ethnically extremely diverse - there are 21 nationalities registered mostly Serbs (61%), Hungarians (13%), and Croats (8%). The total length of Sombor streets is 120 kilometers, there are 9 squares, 4 parks, the total length of the city’s famous tree alleys is 121 kilometers. There are said to be over 18,000 trees, making Sombor the greenest city in Serbia, and for its size, surely among the greenest cities in the world. Proprietor Željko Rebrača is a retired Serbian professional basketball player. Rebrača began his professional career in 1991, with KK Partizan. With KK Partizan, he won 2 Yugo League championships (1992 and 1995), 3 Yugoslav Cups (1992, 1994, and 1995), and the EuroLeague (1992). In 1995–99, he played in the Italian League for Benetton Treviso, where he won the Italian League championship in 1997, under coach Mike D'Antoni. He followed up that by winning the Italian Supercup in 1997, and the FIBA Saporta Cup in 1999, while playing under coach Željko Obradović. He also played for the European basketball giant Panathinaikos, during the 1999–00 and 2000–01 seasons, winning with them 2 Greek League championships and 1 EuroLeague championship, at the EuroLeague Final Four in 2000, which was hosted in Thessaloniki. He was awarded with the EuroLeague Final Four MVP. Rebrača, a 7'0" center, was a second round (54th overall) draft pick of the Seattle SuperSonics in the 1994 NBA draft. The Sonics immediately traded his NBA rights to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who then traded his rights to the Toronto Raptors in 1999, who in turn, traded his rights to the Detroit Pistons in 2001. In the NBA, he played for the Detroit Pistons (2001–04), the Atlanta Hawks (2004), and the Los Angeles Clippers (2004–06). His most productive season was his rookie year, in which he averaged 6.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, as a member of the Detroit Pistons. His career NBA averages were 5.9 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game, in 15.3 minutes per game. Rebrača was a member of the senior men's Yugoslavian national team (for which he became one of the Serbian MVPs). He won the gold medal with his national team at both EuroBaskets 1995 and 1997. With Yugoslavia, he also won the silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Basketball Tournament in Atlanta, in the United States. He also won the gold medal at the 1998 FIBA World Championship. On December 17, 2007, Rebrača announced his retirement from the game of basketball.
