NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make above Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The orders will further amend The Oxfordshire County Council (West Oxford and Osney Mead) (Controlled Parking Zone and Waiting Restrictions) Consolidation Order 2009; the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford and North Hinksey) (Bus Lanes, Cycle Lanes and Traffic Management) Order 2006; and the Oxfordshire County Council (City of Oxford) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2018.

Plans are being developed for a major improvement scheme to the & West Way from Oxford to Botley (North Hinksey).

The effect of order 1 is as follows: a) Botley Road: the three parking laybys on the south side of the Botley Road between Earl Street and Alexandra Road (1 hour waiting Mondays to Saturdays 8am to 6.30pm) will be removed and no waiting at any time will apply. b) Alexandra Road, Duke Street, Earl Street, Harley Road, Oatlands Road and Riverside Road and Oatlands Road: - Parking places limiting waiting to 1 hour (no return within one hour) between 8.00am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays (permit holders not exempted from time limit), with parking by permit holders only outside this time will be created; parking places in Duke Street (1), Earl Street (1), Harley Road (1), Oatlands Road (2), and Riverside Road (2) will replace permit holder only parking places; the (2) parking places in Alexandra Road will replace a length of no waiting between 8.00am and 6.30mp Monday to Saturday restriction.

The effect of order 2 is as follows: a) To remove the short length of bus lane on Botley Road east of Bridge Street, b) To introduce new westbound bus lanes on Botley Road, c) To extend the eastbound bus lane on West Way to its junction with Eynsham Road, d) To create short lengths of bus lane on Eynsham Road and Cumnor Hill on their approaches to West Way.

The effect of order 3 is to extend the 20mph limit on the Botley Road westwards by 490 metres to just west of its junction with Binsey Lane.

Objections to the proposals specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below no later than 29 November 2019. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public.
