Final Broadcast Details Announced for This Weekend's Broadcast Of MEDIA RELEASE ctvmedia.ca twitter.com/CTV_PR twitter.com/TheJUNOAwards #JUNOS Final Broadcast Details Announced for This Weekend’s Broadcast of THE 2015 JUNO AWARDS, March 15 on CTV – The #1 selling Canadian artist of 2014, singer-songwriter Bobby Bazini is final performer confirmed for THE 2015 JUNO AWARDS broadcast – – Presenters include 19-2’s Jared Keeso and Adrian Holmes, Dallas Smith, Trevor Guthrie, and Tanya Tagaq – – Famed songwriter and producer Glen Ballard to induct Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame – – Tickets available through www.ticketmaster.ca – TORONTO (March 10, 2015) – CTV and The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) announced today that soulful, platinum-selling singer-songwriter and two- time 2015 JUNO Award nominee Bobby Bazini is the final performer confirmed for CTV’s live broadcast of THE 2015 JUNO AWARDS on Sunday, March 15 live at 7 p.m. ET (8 p.m. AT) on CTV and CTV GO (check local listings to confirm broadcast times), bringing the total number of acts confirmed for the broadcast to 11. CTV and CARAS also revealed the confirmed list of presenters for Canada’s preeminent award show broadcast. Hosted by Hedley front man Jacob Hoggard, the Awards are set to be handed out by a diverse range of Canadian talent which include electric-pop duo Adventure Club, chart-topping country singer Dallas Smith, Big Wreck’s Ian Thornley, and the leading men of Bravo’s hit series 19-2, Jared Keeso and Adrian Holmes. Alternative rock band July Talk also joins the list of presenters, along with country artist Kira Isabella, R&B/soul artist Melanie Durrant, alternative-rockers USS, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Shelly Glover, Canadian throat-singer Tanya Tagaq, and pop singer Trevor Guthrie. It was also announced today that American songwriter, lyricist, and producer Glen Ballard, best known for co-writing and producing Alanis Morissette’s multi-platinum album Jagged Little Pill, is confirmed to induct Alanis Morissette into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame on THE 2015 JUNO AWARDS broadcast. Warming up the crowd at Hamilton’s FirstOntario Centre, before the live broadcast event, is four-time JUNO Award winner hip-hop artist Kardinal Offishall accompanied by beatbox champion, Hamilton’s Hachey the MouthPEACE. Tours roll across the coun- try like mobile homes in a Florida hurricane. The most memo- rable for this magazine/bar owner were the Warped Tour and Wakestock, where such bands as Bad Religion, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Closet Monster, The Trews and Crowned King had audiences in mosh-pit frenzies. At Wakestock, in Wasaga Beach, Ont., Gasoline, Fox Racing, and Bluenotes rocked so hard at their two-day private cottage party that local authorities shut down the stage after Magneta Lane and Flashlight Brown. Poor Moneen didn't get to crush the eardrums of the drunken revellers. That was day one! Day two was an even bigger party with the live music again shut down. The Reason, Moneen and Crowned King owned the patio until Alexisonfire and their crew rolled into party. Gasoline would also like to thank Chuck (see cover story) and other UN officials for making sure that the boys in Sum41 made it back to the Bovine for another cocktail, despite the nearby mortar and gunfire during their Warchild excursion. January 22, 2015 –The Art Gallery of Hamilton is getting a jump on the JUNO Awards celebrations by presenting two captivating exhibitions profiling award winning and nominated Canadian bands and singers. The JUNO Photography Exhibition and the JUNO Tour of Canadian Art sponsored by La Piazza Allegra will open at the AGH on Saturday, January 24. Admission to both is free. “We are honoured to collaborate with Canada’s most important music awards program,” said Shelley Falconer, AGH President and CEO. “These two exhibitions exemplify the critically important relationship between visual art and music. We hope that people from across the Greater Hamilton Area and those attending the JUNO Awards will visit the AGH and enjoy some of their favourite Canadian musicians and works of art.” The JUNO Photography Exhibition features classic JUNO photos and exclusive images taken by Canada’s top rock and roll photographers. This stunning retrospective showcases the past 40-plus years of Canadian music and the JUNO Awards. More than 50 photos from the JUNO Awards’ 40th anniversary book, Music from Far and Wide, as well as never before seen photos taken by Canada’s foremost rock and roll photographers including Barry Roden, Bruce Cole, Grant Martin, Tom Sandler and photographers from iPhoto Inc.
