Because traffic varies, guests travelling by cab should allow approximately 45 minutes for travel between the airport and Greentree. Travelling by public transport may take 1,5 hours. For example, travel time from passenger terminals 1 or 8 to the Air Train Terminal adjacent to the LIRR’s Jamaica Station is about 10 minutes (ca. $10). From Jamaica Station, take the LIRR to Penn Station (approx. 20 minutes). From Penn Station, take the Port Washington Branch to Manhasset station. (40 minutes, for train schedules: see the station timetable). The fare would amount to $ 8-11. From Manhasset Station to Greentree: Plandome Taxi Service is available at the station: +1 516 627 0900. It is approximately a 10- minute drive to Greentree for about $10. Please note that you may have to share a taxi with passengers going to other destinations. This is a common practice for suburban taxi services. By town car or cab A town car or 12-passenger van from JFK or Manhattan to and from Greentree costs about $130. It needs to be reserved in advance under +1 516 627 7577 (Manhasset Limousine). You can also get a yellow cab at the airport starting at $40 for a metered taxi ride, depending on traffic. Take the NYC Airporter which departs roughly every 30 minutes and takes you directly to Penn Station. Fare is $13. You can purchase tickets online at www.NYCAirporter.com. For more information, call +1 718 777 5111. 2. Take the bus Q70 Limited, departing from terminals B, C and D. It takes you to Woodside-61 St where you have connection to the LIRR. It takes you to Mets-Willits Pt. where you have connection to the LIRR. The Q48 operates from 4:30 AM to 1:00 AM. Travel time from LaGuardia Airport to the LIRR is approximately 25 min. The train ($8-17) leaves from Penn Station in Manhattan, and takes approximately 40 minutes. For train schedules, see www.mta.info.
