Activities such as music, arts & crafts, and special guests will be held at Alverthorpe Park and the Ardsley Community Education Center. The first session will begin at both sites on Monday, June 23th and run for three weeks until Friday, July 11th. The second session will begin on Monday, July 14th and end on Friday, August 1st. Abington Township residents may begin registration for both sites and sessions in person at the Bureau of Parks and Recreation’s main office in Alverthorpe Manor on Tuesday, May 6th at 9:00 AM. Non-residents may begin registration on May 13th. Summer Playground Program Location: ACEC or Alverthorpe Park This program is open to Abington Township children ages Ages: 4 and 5 year olds 6-12. The program will be offered at two locations (Penbryn Date: Session I - June 23 - July 11, 2014 and Crestmont Parks). Activities will include sports, arts Session II - July 14- August 1, 2014 & crafts, games, special events, and field trips. There is no Time: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon program at each site on days when a field trip is scheduled. Cost: $110 R / $160 NR (per Session) Each site will operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Supervision will NOT be available for early drop-offs or late pick-ups. Abington Township Residents may begin registration in person at the Bureau of Parks & Recreation’s main office in Alverthorpe Manor starting on Tuesday, April 22nd, at 5:00 p.m. Non-Residents may begin registration on May 7th. Only one family registration per person. Location: Penbryn or Crestmont Park Ages: 6 to 12 years old Date: June 23 - August 1, 2014 Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Cost: $350 R / $450 NR Art and Nature Camp Visit Abington Art Center and create art inspired by guided Babysitting Workshop tours of the grounds by our professional artist.
