Since Retiring from the NFL in 2007 After 15 Outstanding Seasons, All Since retiring from the NFL in 2007 after 15 outstanding seasons, All-Pro linebacker Chad Brown has established himself as a successful entrepreneur and football ana- lyst for both television and radio. Brown serves as a studio analyst for KUSA’s Broncos Huddle and in multiple roles (studio analyst, pre- and post-game on-field reporter) for Broncos Tonight. He has done sideline reporting for Westwood One, and worked for the NBC Sports Network on their show, ProFootballTalk. He has done projects with NFL Films, making sev- eral appearances on its “NFL Top 10.” Brown was a regular on DenverPostTV’s “The Sports Show” and is a regular co-host and guest on KKFN The Fan 104.3, the #1 sports radio station in Denver. On the college football side, Brown is an in-studio analyst and a game color analyst for the Pac-12 Network, served as a color analyst on ESPN’s broadcasts of FCS playoff games and continued his role as a color analyst and sideline reporter for the Colorado Football Network, the flagship for his alma mater. Chad added Compass Media to the many broadcast networks he has worked with, serving as a color ana- lyst for both the 2016 and 2017 season. Brown has also been a color analyst for ESPN3, Westwood One Radio and co-hosted Altitude TV’s Black and Gold Summit. In addition, he has made numerous other television and radio appearances, sharing his valuable insight, experience and expertise. Brown played college football at the University of Colorado at Boulder from 1988- 1992, while working toward a Bachelor’s degree in sociology. A four-year starter for the Buffaloes, he finished his career as the school’s third leading tackler of all time. Brown was a two-time All-American and a three-time All-Big 8 selection with a ca- reer total of 369 tackles (242 solo). He helped lead the team to its first-ever National Championship, after a stellar performance vs. Notre Dame in the 1991 Orange Bowl. Brown was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round (44th pick over- all) of the 1993 NFL Draft. During his time with the team, he became an important part of the Steelers’ “Blitzburgh” defense. Brown was named to the NFL’s All-Rookie team and received the team’s Joe Greene Great Performance Award as its Rookie of the Year. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl for the first time after the 1996 season. Brown started at right inside linebacker in Super Bowl XXX for the Steelers, a loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Brown joined the Seattle Seahawks the following season and was named to back-to- back Pro Bowls in 1998 and 1999. His tenure with the Seahawks was highlighted by numerous additional awards. He was twice chosen to the NFL’s All-Pro team, was a six-time team captain, a two-time All-Madden team choice, winner of the Seahawks’ Steve Largent Award for spirit, dedication and integrity and was named to the Sea- hawks’ 35th anniversary team, among many other honors. After eight seasons with the Seahawks, Brown had two stints with the New England Patriots (2005, 2007) and also returned to the Steelers for one season (2006). During his 15 year NFL career, Brown recorded 1,043 career tackles (778 solo), 19 forced fumbles and 15 fumble recoveries. He played in 188 games, starting 170 of them. At the time he was retirement, his 79 career sacks were the most of any active player. He is the Steelers’ 10th all-time leader in sacks. Brown began his career as an entrepreneur while still a student at the University of Colorado. He turned a lifelong passion for animals and nature into his first business, Pro Exotics Reptiles, which has become an internationally acclaimed leader in the reptile and reptile breeding industries, producing several thousand baby reptiles each year. He later founded All Pro Shipping to provide reptile and aquatic busi- nesses and hobbyists with affordable shipping solutions paired with great customer service and expert know-how. Most recently, Brown started The Reptile Report, an online one-stop shop with resources for reptile enthusiasts and THG Products, a pet caging and heating company. .
