The 10th tee has a magnificent view of the town and has a vertical drop of 339ft from tee to green. 11:12 - 15:42 Royal Aberdeen Golf Course -- Greenfee 80£ Royal Aberdeen - 6th the oldest Golf Club in the world - is a true Scottish links with undulating fairways and enjoys spectacular views of the North Sea coastline. The course was originally designed by the Simpson brothers, Archie and Robert, and was later re-bunkered and lengthened by . The 8th hole - The Signature Hole at Royal Aberdeen Golf Club. Surrounded by 10 bunkers, played from an elevated tee. Depending on the wind direction you can use every club in the bag. At only 147 yards, a very demanding par 3. The Club House maintains the traditional ambience of a gentleman's club with a formal lounge, formal dining room, casual lounge and casual dining area. Info: Tel: (01224) 702571, Balgownie Championship Links 6,415 yards - 6,850 yards, Par 70, SSS 73, http://www.royalaberdeengolf.com Beskrivelse: The course runs essentially out and back along the North Sea shore. The outward nine (which is arguably acknowledged as one of the finest in links golf anywhere in the world) cuts its way through some wonderful dune formation and the inland nine on the plateau. A traditional old Scottish links, it is well bunkered with undulating fairways. It is an excellent balance of holes, strong par 4's, tricky par 3's and two classic par 5's, with the 8th (our signature hole) protected by 10 bunkers. The ever changing wind, tight greens and a magnificent finish makes Balgownie a test for the very best.

Club History: Founded in 1780, Royal Aberdeen is the sixth oldest golf club in the world. For the first thirty five years of its existence the club was known as The Society of Golfers at Aberdeen, with membership of the Society being determined by ballot. The Aberdeen Golf Club was formed in 1815 and its members continued to play on the Queen's Links and over the Broad Hill until 1888 when they picked up their hickory clubs and gutty balls and migrated to the magnificent links at Balgownie. It was Captain H V Brooke in 1886 who moved that 'considering the way that the links was being cut up by cricket and football players, a private course at Balgownie should be procured for golfing purposes'. Less than two years later, with very little ado the Aberdeen Golfers "folded their tents and silently stole away" to the peaceful seclusion of Balgownie Links.

16:00 - 22:00 Eftermiddagen er fri. Vi anbefaler Sightseeing i Aberdeen med Middag.

09:36 - 14:06 Duff House Royal Golf Course Banen ligger i byen Banff 12 miles øst for Cullen.

Beskrivelse: The original Duff House Golf Club was formally constituted on 1st March 1910 to a plan by the late James Braid. The brilliant Golf Architect Dr. Alister Mackenzie (who later went on to design the World famous "Augusta National") redesigned the course in 1923. The course is a flat, beautifully manicured parkland course with little rough. The large "Mackenzie" two- tiered greens, many well positioned bunkers and trees make the course a severe but fair challenge to golfers of all abilities. The Course is bounded by the River Deveron, which proves to be a hazard for those who wander off the tee at the 7th, 16th and 17th holes. Practice ground, pitching area and putting green are available to visitors. The professional has a well-stocked shop and private tuition is available by appointment. The clubhouse has a large comfortable bar and lounge area, offering commanding views over the first and eighteenth holes with the Hill of Doune and the River Deveron as a backdrop. Full catering facilities are available.

Cruden Bay Golf Course creates unique challenges demanding the skills of power, placement and fine judgement upon the discerning golfer. Set against a backdrop of subtly contoured greens and magnificent panoramic views, a visit to Cruden Bay will be a most memorable one.

It is claimed that golf was played in the village of Cruden Bay as early as 1791. The original course, on the present site, was commissioned by the Great North of Scotland Railway (GNSR) following the expansion of the railways at the end of the 19th century, designed by Old Tom Morris of St Andrews, and opened in 1899. Cruden Bay offers an internationally famous golfing experience - old fashioned links golf at its best - on one of the best links courses in Scotland, and last year was placed at No 52 in the world by "Golf Magazine".

Info: Tel: (01346) 516616, 18 holes (Par 70), Links - 6,308 yards, http://www.fraserburghgolfclub.net/

Beskrivelse: Fraserburgh Links was the resort of golfers from the early 1600's. The Parish Kirk Session records of the year 1613 contain information of a young lad named John Burnett who, for playing at the 'gowff' on Sunday instead of attending church, was ordered by the Session to be sent to the maisters stool for correction. The "Buchan Golf Club" started up in Fraserburgh in 1779 meeting every third Tuesday during the Season, and in 1780 the Club was retitled Fraserburgh Golf Club. Fraserburgh Golf Club offers a wide variety of Membership Packages ranging from full playing to social. A Winter membership is in place where, for the princely sum of £80.00, anyone can join on a temporary basis for the period 1st. October to 31st. March and be entitled to full playing privileges including entry into the Club's Saturday and Sunday Winter Leagues. Fraserburgh Golf Club is always delighted to receive visiting golfers, from works or society outings, to the solitary player just looking for a bit of fun and relaxation on the nine hole course, all will be met with the same warm welcome. A choice of tees is offered and whether you want to play the full distance of the course from the medal tees or would rather play off the yellow boxes is entirely your option. There is very little restriction on visitor's tee times and the only days really to try to avoid are those of the Open Competitions unless, that is, you care to enter!

08:00 - 08:15 Transport 15 min. -- Hotel, Spey Bay IV32 7PJ

Info: Tel: (01343) 820424, 18 holes (Par 70), Links - 6,219 yards

Beskrivelse: The course is a picturesque, undulating links with a long beach on one side. The fairways are lined with swathes of gorse and heather while shingle and the beach also form a border at some holes. Each hole at Spey Bay requires a good deal of thought from the tee and a deft touch around the greens, a challenge worthy of any keen golfer. Acquired by Hobday Golf Company at the turn of the year, Spey Bay is one golfing hideout that is almost certainly set for big things. Plans are in the pipeline for the original Ben Sayers-designed course to be redeveloped not to mention the construction of luxury lodges for the use of visitors. The eighth is a particularly memorable hole as the small green is perched on a fair sized hillock and there is nothing to stop the ball except your accuracy.
