THE BOWLING ASSOCIATION APPOINTMENT OF MATCH SECRETARY

The Association is urgently seeking to fill the vacancy of Match Secretary.

The new Match Secretary will take over the match programme for 2014, which has already been arranged, together with a well tried and documented system with which to run the season’s activities. Help and advice will be available from the General Secretary and members of the Executive Committee. If you are interested in becoming Match Secretary and would like any further information, please contact Steve Stephens (01425 475188).

Each year, the Association organises seven or eight Badge Matches against teams from neighbouring Associations, and the main duties of the Match Sec. are:- 1. To arrange all Association matches including venues for home fixtures. 2. Manage the arrangements for and ensure the smooth running of all Association matches, including liaising with the Match Secretaries of the opposing sides and the NFBA host clubs. 3. To maintain records covering the entitlement to the award of Association blazer and colt badges. 4. To account to the Treasurer for all match fees and stock items issued or purchased. 5. To attend and take part in all Executive and Council meetings, including preparing an annual Match Secretary’s report for the AGM.
