59th MONTE-CARLO TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES PRESIDENT OF FICTION JURY, RICKY WHITTLE

Monaco, 28 May, 2019

Ricky Whittle, star of hit series , will be the President of the Fiction Jury for the prestigious Golden Nymph Awards at the 59th Monte-Carlo Television Festival (14 to 18 June), it was announced today by Laurent Puons, CEO of the Festival.

Whittle is joined on the Fiction Jury by Pedro Alonso, Anne Kolbjornsen, Gisella Marengo, Gideon Raff and Ola Rapace. The News Jury is comprised of Rory Kennedy (President), John Irvine, Ghislaine Ottenheimer, Paul Refsdal, Luca Rosini and Masaru Zenke.

Currently starring as Shadow Moon in American Gods, Ricky previously played Lincoln in The 100 and recently roles in Mistresses, Single Ladies and NCIS. Ricky began his career in the UK in long-running hit series Dream Team and .

The Fiction and News Juries will be officially presented during the Opening Ceremony of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival on Friday 14 June. Over four days, they will screen each of the programmes in competition. The 2019 laureates will be announced during the Golden Nymph Awards, to be held on Tuesday 18 June.
