Promotion, re-edition and translation of “Liaisons” - ERYICA

This practical resource for youth (information) workers, educators and youth organisations provides theoretical elements and educational tools to reinforce young people’s resilience and critical thinking through youth information and counselling principles. Besides promotion and dissemination activities, the main translation of LIAISONS – Toolkit for the prevention of violent extremism through youth information into English (1st edition 2018) was revised and re-edited in 2020. In the course of 2021, the same update will be implemented in the original French version (1st edition 2017, 2nd edition 2018). Besides, we will ensure the promotion and dissemination of the toolkit throughout Europe. ERYICA will also seek institutional support to translate Liaisons into other languages and support their publication.

Projects Proposals

ERYICA Trainers’ Seminar 2021 – Erasmus+ KA1

Following the success of previous initiatives that took place in Helsinki in May 2014, in Zagreb in May 2016 and in 2018, this seminar will provide an opportunity for ERYICA trainers to meet, network and develop their methodologies further, while learning about new developments in the ERYICA training system. The biennial seminar planned for 2020 could not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The long-term aim of the event is to encourage an active network of trainers in youth information and to support innovative training methods. This edition will also welcome new trainers who participated in the ERYICAdemy - Training of Trainers’ Programme. The participants will learn about the new Training of Trainers structure, exchange good practices on training activities in youth information and learn about the outcomes of the DesYIgn project. A proposal will be submitted in May 2021 under Erasmus+ KA1. As ERYICA has been granted the Erasmus+ accreditation 2021-2027 for KA1, the organisation of the event is less dependent on a successful application process. The event will take place towards the end of 2021. 2. Research, Trends & Innovation Activities

Webinars on Communication

ERYICA is offering a series of five webinars in communication to our members, to upskill the profile of youth information workers in the field of promotion and digital trends. The webinars will cover different topics from brand design to inclusive communication, highlighting the importance of the new social media trends and the new era of digital events.

As important as it is to adapt our offer to the current needs, it is essential to know how to communicate it. We believe in the importance of understanding and using different tools and diversifying our communication to reach a broad and diverse target group through the relevant channels. Therefore, we expect these webinars will imply a quality leap on the communication and promotion strategies of ERYICA members.

European Youth Information Day 2021

Through the slogan “Youth Info #mindmymind. Discover your inner self. Speak up.”, this year we want to encourage young people to exteriorise their emotions, problems and fears, raising awareness of the importance of mental health and emotional well-being among them.

The campaign aims to start a discussion about mental health issues, be a speaker to break with the mental health stigma among young people and normalise the need of asking for emotional well-being support. The campaign is a joint effort between ERYICA, youth information services and young people. The subtitle is a clear call to action for both services and young people: while young people must be able to identify their emotions and discover the best wat to get the most out them, youth information services should offer a safe space for young people to express themselves freely. A platform where they don’t judge.

The EYID 2022 theme will be discussed during a specific session organised during the Strategic Network Meeting in September.

Newsletters, Governing Board Bulletins and Press Releases

ERYICA publishes now 5 newsletters per year, which make editions shorter and easier to read and follow. Members also have more opportunities to make contributions and share their good practice examples. After sending the newsletter, we will post a link on our social media channels and web in order to invite external people to get to know about the network and encourage them to subscribe. Also, we will study the possibility of activating a pop-up message on the web to get new subscribers.

The Governing Board Bulletins are a good transparency tool, which helps the network be aware of the decisions taken during the Governing Board meetings. In the course of 2020, we aim to produce four Governing Board Bulletins. Each one will be sent no more than 2 weeks after the corresponding Governing Board meeting takes place, so our members receive up-to-date information on the latest decisions and initiatives undertaken by the Governing Board.

Press releases will be sent whenever a special announcement or publication has been released. The number will vary according to the needs.

SHEryica Facebook Group Activation
