The property was purchased for the construction of a central county landfll, to provide adequate buffers from surrounding Road Trail Knights lands, to provide suitable areas for wetland mitigation Exit 195/ Laurel Road due to impacts incurred from the construction of the Trafc Light landfll complex, and to protect the wildlife and natural communities in the Myakka river and dona and Directions: Take I-75 north to Exit 195. The Central County solid Waste disposal Complex is a very busy facility so please use caution and adhere to the designated travel directions when Wood Stork traveling within the site.

The landfll is open Mon. – sat., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The facility is closed sundays, new Years day, independence day, Thanksgiving day, and Christmas day. all pets brought onto the landfll property must be kept on a leash and please clean up after your pet We hope that you enjoy your visit!
