Change is always scary and exciting at the same time. My family and I spent six great years in this old house. I am saddened to see the old funeral home come down. Unfortunately, the cost of updating it and making it safe to be in was to high to even discuss. We need more offices, embalming room, arrange- ment room, employee break room and garage space. After looking at old floor plans that Mr. Coker and Mr. Raley had, the decision was made to remove the old unused building and to build a new addition. In the Raley addition there are windows that have never seen the light of day. It was in their plans to tear down the old home. It had been added to three times. It had several split levels, mold, bad foundation and scary electrical problems. We want to serve the families of Hardee County for years to come, to the best of our ability. This new addition can and will make this possible. The Ponger family and staff are here to serve this community and you deserve the best. Please pardon our dust, our chapel and offices are in perfect working order to continue to serve our community during our construction. Floyd O.
