Prime Minister Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Minister of Finance

The Nortel long term disabled former employees wish to thank you for your initial responses to their request for the to reintroduce Bill C-624 amending the CCAA and BIA legislation from Parliamentary Session 40-3 (2010-03-03 to 2011-03-26), or, to authorize that a Self-Insured Long Term Disability Benefit Plan be prescribed as an “Eligible Financial Contract” in the CCAA Regulations.

The Nortel bankruptcy continues to plod along in the Canadian, U.S. and U.K. courts, while the Nortel Canadian long term disabled former employees suffer the injustice of poverty and no remedy for the constructive fraud in their Health and Welfare Trust determined in the decision of J. Paul Perell at the Superior Court of Justice.

Please read this follow-up report providing 15 substantive reasons why Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Navdeep Bains should adopt the Nortel long term disabled former employees’ request to resolve their plight. This report provides the legal and financial differences between the Nortel long term disabled former employees and Nortel pensioners.

Sincerely
