MANAGER ROBIN VENTURA  Robin Ventura, who played for the White Sox from 1989-98, returns for his fi fth season managing the White Sox … needs three wins for 300 in his career … managed his 500th game on 4/22/15 vs. Cleveland, a 6-0 victory … has led the Sox to 297-351 record (.458) over his fi rst four seasons … earned his 200th victory as Sox manager on 7/29/14 at Detroit … fi nished third in American League Manager of the Year voting in 2012 … led Chicago to 85 wins, tied for the eighth-most by a fi rst-year manager in White Sox history … is the 39th manager in Sox history and the 18th former player to manage the club … was Chicago’s fi rst-round pick (10th overall) in 1988 … ranks among the club’s all-time leaders in grand slams (T1st, 10), walks (5th, 668), home runs (6th, 171), RBI (8th, 741) and extra-base hits (10th, 402).
