CAST BIOGRAPHIES BEN DANIELS (Paul Grayson) Ben Daniels is known for his impressive work in theatre, television and film. Daniels can most recently be seen on the small screen in “Jamaica Inn” (BBC), “The Paradise” (BBC) “Law and Order: UK,” the Netflix Original Series “House of Cards” alongside Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright, and Buckingham in The Hollow Crown, Richard III alongside Bendedict Cumberbatch. On the big screen he can most recently be seen in the films Luna, as the voice of Gareth in Locke alongside Tom Hardy. Previous film credits include Jack the Giant Slayer (Warner Bros.) Wipers Times, Doom (Universal Studios), Married Unmarried, Fanny and Elvis, Madeleine (Sony), I Want You, Passion in the Desert (New Line), and Beautiful Thing (Channel 4 Films). Previous television credits include, “Merlin,” “Women in Love,” “The Last Days of Lehman Brothers,” “The Passion,” “Lark Rise To Candleford ,” “Who Killed Mrs. De Ropp,” “The State Within,” “Ian Fleming: Bondmaker,” “Elizabeth – The Virgin Queen,” “MI-5,” “Miss Marple: What Mrs. Mcgillicuddy Saw,” “Real Men,” “Cutting It,” “Conspiracy,” “Aristocrats” “Silent Witness,” “Britannic,” “David,” “Outside Edge,” “Inspector Alleyn Mysteries: Death At The Bar,” “Truth Or Dare,” “Romeo And Juliet,” and “The Lost Language Of Cranes.” On stage, Daniels last starred in the Broadway revival of “Don’t Dress For Dinner” in 2012. Prior to this he appeared in “Haunted Child” and “Luise Miller” in 2011. He first starred on Broadway in “Les Liaisons Dangereuses » in 2008 for which he earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play and was the winner of a TWA award for Outstanding Broadway Debut. The rest of his theatre work includes “Never the Sinner,” “Entertaining Mr. Sloane,” “Waiting for Goddot,” “900 Oneonta,” “Martin Yesterday,” “Naked,” “As You Like It,” “All My Sons,” “Tales From Hollywood,” “Three Sisters,” “Iphigenia at Aulis,” “The God of Hell,” “The Wild Duck,” and “Thérèse Raquin.” He received an Olivier Award and a What’s On Stage Award for his performance in “All My Sons.” Daniels began his career studying at London’s LAMDA drama school SARAH HAY (Claire Robbins) After dancing professionally in the US for four years, Sarah Hay was invited by Artistic Director, Aaron S. Watkin to join the Semperoper Ballett in Dresden, Germany, and was promoted to Corphyee in 2012 and Soloist in 2014. During her first season in the company, she was chosen by Stijn Celis to perform the title role in “Cinderella.” Other principal and soloist roles with Semperoper Ballett have included Swanilda in Balanchine's “Coppelia,” Marie in Watkin's “Nutcracker,” the "Walking" Duet in Balanchine's” Emeralds,” the Pas de Deux with Jiri Bubenicek in Ekman's “Cacti,” Forsythe's Handel II Duet and Enemy in the “Figure,” Watkin's “Sleeping Beauty,” “La Bayadere,” and “Swan Lake.” Hay appeared in the movie Black Swan and is among the list of Capezio Athletes. Hay began her training at the School of American Ballet at the age of eight and later attended the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet at American Ballet Theatre. She attended summer programs on scholarship at Miami City Ballet, Chautauqua, and American Ballet Theatre. Her most influential teachers include Susan Jaffe, Cynthia Harvey, and Nancy Bielski. EMILY TYRA (Mia) Emily Tyra started her career at 17 with the Boston Ballet and James Sewell Ballet, before moving to New York to pursue a career on Broadway. She made her Broadway debut with Hugh Jackman in “Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway.” She has also appeared in “The City Club,” “Chaplin,” and “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” starring Matthew Broderick. She has appeared in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” and in various awards shows, pilots, independent films and commercials. JOSH HELMAN (Bryan Robbins) Josh Helman has taken the U.S. film market by storm. He can currently be seen on the big screen in Mad Max: Fury Road, the continuation of the legendary Mad Max franchise, appearing alongside Tom Hardy, Nicholas Hoult, and Charlize Theron. Past projects include a notable role in the Tom Cruise Paramount Pictures film Jack Reacher and last summer’s blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past, where he played ‘William Stryker’ opposite Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lawrence, and Hugh Jackman – to name a few. After graduating from Australia’s Q.U.T. in 2006, Helman worked predominately in Australian film and television. His Australian credits include notable films such as Blinder and Animal Kingdom, which won the Grand Jury Prize for World Cinema at last year’s Sundance Film Festival. Helman also appeared as ‘Lew “Chuckler” Juergens’ in the HBO miniseries “The Pacific.” He made his U.S. stage debut in “Play with the Penguin,” directed by Billy Hopkins, at the 2010 Summer Shorts Theatre Festival in New York. Los Angeles audiences recently saw Helman starring opposite Jon Bernthal in John Pollono’s play “Small Engine Repair” which made its New York City debut in the fall of 2013 at the MCC Theater. The production was nominated for numerous Ovation Awards including Best Ensemble. Helman currently resides in New York, and is gearing up to shoot the next installment of X-Men. DAMON HERRIMAN (Romeo) Damon Herriman was born in Adelaide, Australia and began acting at the age of eight. At ages 10 and 11 he was nominated for Australia’s equivalent to the Emmys for his performance in “The Sullivans.” Since then he has worked extensively in film, television and theatre. His Australian film credits include The Square, Candy, Ned, Praise, The Big Steal and most recently the lead role in 100 Bloody Acres. On Australian television he is best known for the acclaimed series “Love My Way”. He also played The Professor in the US remake of South Pacific, which was filmed entirely in Australia. He has worked many times with the prestigious Sydney Theatre Company (run by Cate Blanchett), most recently in “Tot Mom,” written and directed by Steven Soderbergh. In 2004 Herriman scored a role in the U.S. horror film House of Wax (shot in Queensland, Australia). After attending the premiere in Los Angeles in 2005, he began a career in the States. Damon has since appeared in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, Disney’s The Lone Ranger, and the David Mamet helmed feature, Redbelt. He also recently shot the Ewan McGregor feature Son of a Gun. On television, Herriman is currently shooting the new Cinemax series “Quarry.” He has also appeared in many other series including the hit AMC drama “Breaking Bad” as well as the FX comedy “Wilfred.” He is best known in the U.S. for the recurring role of Dewey Crowe in the critically acclaimed FX series, “Justified”. IRINA DVOROVENKO (Kiira) Irina Dvorovenko trained at the Kiev Ballet School, Ukraine and joined American Ballet Theatre in New York in 1996. As a principal dancer from 2000-2013 she performed all the major leading classical roles, such as Nikya and Gamzatti in “La Bayadère,” “Cinderella,” “Kitri,” “The Sleeping Beauty,” Odette-Odile in “Swan Lake,” “Giselle,” “Romeo and Juliet,” Marguerite in “Cady of the Camellias,” “Onegin,” “Raymonda,” “Coppélia,” “The Nutcracker,” “Le Corsaire,” the Ballerina in “Etudes,” the Empress in “Anastasia,” “The Merry Widow,” “The Snow Maiden,” Offenbach’s “Underworld,” the Siren in “Prodigal Son,” “Les Sylphides,” “Apollo,” “Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux” “Sylvia Pas de Deux,” and “Paquita;” plus a wide repertoire of modern works by Balanchine, Ashton, Tharp and others. She has been featured on the cover of Dance Magazine, Pointe, Japan Dance Magazine (twice), New York Dance Fax (three times), as well as in People, Russian Dance Magazine, Dancing Times, Good Housekeeping, Bazaar, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Gotham, Jane, Elle, Russian Vogue, Town and Country, Time Out and Talk ,Inlove magazine. Ms. Dvorovenko was the face of Movado Watches for three years. She has danced with the Finnish Ballet, the Australian Ballet, the New York City Opera Ballet, the Rome Opera Ballet, Teatro San Carlo in Napoli, Verona Ballet, the Universal Ballet, and with the Stars of the Bolshoi Ballet, and has performed in France, Germany, Spain, Japan, Moscow, Hungary, Finland, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, Turkey, Korea, China, Singapore and Taiwan. She has also appeared in various videos and television specials, including the PBS broadcast of the opening of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, in which she danced the Act II Pas de Deux from “Swan Lake.” She most recently appeared as a Guest Star on ABC’s “Forever.” She made her musical theatre debut as Vera Baronova in the 2013 Encores! production of Rodgers & Hart’s “On Your Toes” where she garnered outstanding reviews. RAYCHEL DIANE WEINER (Daphne) Raychel Diane Weiner began her career as a professional ballerina training in Southern California under the direction of Diane Lauridsen, Charles Maple, Amanda Mckerrow, and John Gardner. Raychel quickly went on to have an exciting career with such companies as St. Louis Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theater, Ballet Arizona and Post:Ballet with which she still remains a principle dancer. Since becoming a professional, Raychel has had the honor of performing soloist and principal roles with many of the world’s leading dancers and choreographers. Some of her most prized roles include: principal dancer in Alejandro Cerrudo's original work “Second to Last,” principal couple in Val Caniporoli’s “Lamberana,” principal dancer in Robert Dekkers' “No One Does It Like You,” and principal couple in Trey McIntyre’s “Speak,” to name a few. Weiner recently wrapped shooting the lead role in the independent feature Hickey. TINA BENKO (Jessica Jordan) Tina Benko’s television credits include “The Good Wife,” “Person of Interest,” “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Blue Bloods,” “Royal Pains,” “Unforgettable,” “Ugly Betty,” and 3 seasons on the Showtime series “Brotherhood.” She has also appeared in That Awkward Moment, Lucky Days, Contest, Puccini for Beginners, and Photo Op.
