Preamble The HQCOPSAR had a humble birth in the year 2020 when Shri. KM George, as managing trustee established Kadambatt Charitable Trust to foster Health educational activities at Puthuruthy of . HQCOPSAR located in a sprawling greenery 04-acre of clean and eco-friendly campus. HQCOPSAR is approved by Pharmacy Council of for four year B.Pharm course and Two year D.Pharm course. B.Pharm course is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences –Thrissur and D.Pharm course examinations are conducted by Directorate of Medical Education –Kerala. Vision To mould our students to gain best potential in the field of their studies and to empower teaching and non-teaching fraternity to build HQCOPSAR as a premier Institute in the Nation. Mission The mission of HQCOPSAR is to provide Pharmaceutical Sciences education to aspiring youngsters and enable them to avail the highest scientific, ethical and moral standards in the profession of Pharmaceutical Sciences. We are committed to provide an inspirational learning platform under the highly qualified ,skilled and talented team of core teaching faculty and mentors. We are aiming to provide highly skilled and socially sensitive holistic Pharmacy professionals with enriched knowledge in the concerned subjects and fields . We promote better medication needs through safe hands of competent Pharmacists who have perfect blend of technical and Pharmaceutical expertise.

Objectives and Scope of HQCOPSAR To mould highly skilled professionals in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Train the pharmacy carriers according to global needs. To develop HQCOPSAR as Internationally recognizable body. To provide better medication through safe hands of pharmacist having excellent knowledge in therapeutics. To impart training and updating of knowledge to teaching faculties. To promote teaching faculty to involve in research activities. To produce technically productive vibrant personnel for Pharma Industry.

I. Introduction

This prospectus contains admission criteria for B.Pharm and D.Pharm at Holy Queen College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research. This prospectus is subjected to modifications from time to time according to norms of regulatory bodies ,rules of Government of Kerala and to the Judgments of Honourable Courts of Law .

II. Approved Intake

In B.Pharm degree course 60 seats are allotted . Thirty seats are of management Quota and other thirty 30 seats will be filled according to allotment by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala .

Since HQCOPSAR applied for Minority status admission to 18 seats of management quota will be given priority for Christian students and remaining 12 seats according to merit based upon received applications.

If any lacunae is their from Government quota seats which will be filled from Management Quota on the basis of 60% minority and 40 %Merit.

In two year diploma D.Pharm course also 60 seats are allotted.

III. Eligibility For Admission

Minimum Marks Required: B.Pharm Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or Examinations (eg CBSE/ICSE )recognized as equivalent with 50% marks either in biology or mathematics separately and a total of 50 % marks in combined Physics,chemistry and biology/mathematics.

* Candidates passed in qualifying examination from outside Kerala have to produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from Kerala University of Health Sciences at the time of admission.

D.Pharm A pass in any of the 10+2 examination in science Examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics: or any other qualifications approved by PCI as equivalent to any of the above examination.

Age:

Applicants should complete 17 years at the time of admission ending year day(December 31) . For D.Pharm course Should not over 35 years old, not for Management Quota . Applicants from Govt. service should follow guidelines given at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in .

NB: Once admission is closed .if any admitted student wanted to withdraw TC and submitted documents, has to pay liquidated damages to the tune of full fee of the entire course.

V. Application Procedure:

Application form given in website www.hqcopsar.com . Application submit through online only with prescribed fee of 1000Rs.(Payment details are given in website). Application without application fee of 1000Rs will not be considered. Hard copy of online Application with valid DD of 1000Rs also can send to college address (make sure post reaches in time) or by hand delivery and can make direct payment in the office. NB: Incomplete Application / Late submission of application after cut off date/ fail in submitting relevant documents with application will not be considered .

VI. Selection Process From the received applications , list of students will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination in the relevant subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics).

The marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or authority of other states shall be equated with the marks obtained by the candidates in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the Director of HSE, Kerala. Marks obtained by the candidates under various streams of examinations such as HSE in Kerala/CBSE/ICSE etc. will be subject to the process of normalization.

Process of normalization: Under the method of normalisation , the highest mark obtained by students of various Boards in each subject shall be equated to the highest mark obtained by the students of the Kerala Higher Secondary examination in the same subject and the relative marks obtained by other students in that subject shall be determined accordingly.

Eg: If the highest marks secured by a student of the Kerala state HSE, in Physics is 100 and the highest mark secured by a student on any other board in the same subject is 90, both the highest marks will be considered to be equal to 100, if a student of the other board secures 60 marks in Physics when the highest mark in Physics in the same board is 90, the 60 marks will be considered to be equal to 66.66 marks as arrived at below: 100 X 60/ 90 = 66.66% Those candidates who have passed the qualifying examination of any state other than Kerala, will be treated at par with those students who have passed the Higher Secondary Exam of this state. Since the normalized marks depend on the applications of a college, the index marks of an applicant may vary from college to college. Lateral entry for D.Pharm students:

Rank List will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by candidates in first and second year of D. Pharm examination from an institution approved by PCI under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

VII. Rank List Publication

The rank list will be published in notice board and will be intimated to student by registered mobile number/ e-mail.

In case of a tie in the total marks, the more marks in Chemistry in the qualifying examination will be considered. If there is still a tie, the more marks obtained in physics will be considered. If a tie still exists, the age of the candidate will be taken into account, the elder preferred to the younger. If a tie again exists, the alphabetical ascending order of the name of the candidates in English will be taken in to account. Submission of false information/particulars would result in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as cancellation of admission to the course, and in addition, will attract the relevant provisions of criminal law of the land.

VIII. Admission Procedure According to schedule prepared by HQCOPSAR ,selected students have to come physically to the college and must submit original documents.( Students to take admission on the intimated date itself) At the time of admission prescribed fee for first year must pay fully. The fee can be paid by RTGS/NEFT/DD/Netbanking/Online banking . At the time of admission student shall bring following documents; a) Aadhar card b) Mark list of the candidate in the qualifying examination. c) Pass Certificate of the candidate in the qualifying examination. d) Proof(School Record, SSLC/equivalent)of the candidate to prove date of birth. e)Eligibility/equivalency certificate obtained from the Kerala University of Health Sciences by candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from outside Kerala. f) A Physical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed format obtained from a Medical Officer in Government Service not below the rank of Asst. Medical Officer. g) Course and conduct certificate from the institution last attended. h) Transfer certificate (TC) from the institution last attended. i) Undertaking regarding non-involvement in ragging. j) Document/ certificate required in proof of any benefit claimed in the application for reservation.

IX. Information about Ragging Ragging is strictly prohibited in HQCOPSAR. Hence any student who indulges in any form of ragging will be subjected to penal action as per provisions of law.

Also the student will be expelled from the college as detailed in the law concerned and as per Honourable Supreme Court of India directions in this regard.

X. Use of Mobile Phones Use of mobile phone by students is prohibited in the campus of HQCOPSAR. Any violation will lead to disciplinary action as deemed fit will be taken by the College authorities.

Special Attention invited;

*Since both B.Pharm and D.Pharm are non- vacation courses, students can avail vacation/ study leave as prescribed affiliating bodies/ Government of Kerala. * Misusing social media or other media to cause disgrace to HQCOPSAR by any student /person will attract legal and disciplinary action. *Mandatory attendance is required for appearing examinations. *Mass bunking of class is an offence. The college will take action against any such act form the side of students. *All students have to follow uniform dress code and have to wear Identity card inside the campus.
