It could better it. Over 40 years later, our community-owned co-operative continues to invest every penny we earn right back into this province. (But who’s counting?) Whether it’s with fundraising, in-kind sponsorships or promotion on our Access7 community channels, we support these neighbours because that’s why we’re here. For us, it’s not enough to be in a community. We’re here to better it. Together! 9 10 Reason 6 Building places for kids of all ages to play! People have been having a ball at our Access Communications Community Park in Regina since 1989 — soccer, softball and baseball to be exact! To do our part to shorten winter, we opened the Access Communications Community Rink there this year, providing skates and helmets so every child gets the chance to find their inner Gretzky. And when we put the call out to the community to donate more equipment, hundreds of people came through. You never fail to warm our hearts, Saskatchewan! CANNONBALLLLL! 11 12 Together we’re making a difference! Health & Wellness Education & Literacy Reason 7 Helping kids discover their greatness with our Children’s Fund charity. Every child deserves a chance. That was the dream when we launched our registered charity, the Access Communications Children’s Fund, back in 1992. And thanks to proceeds from our popular TV Bingo show, Access staff fundraisers and generous donations from the public, over the years we’ve raised $1.9 million to help make that dream come true! $1.9 million Our Children’s Fund supports non-profits and charities throughout Saskatchewan who focus donated to help kids on education & literacy, health & wellness, pathways out of poverty and crime prevention since 1992. for young people at risk or in need. Who better to invest in than our future? The only thing better than seeing the greatness in every child is helping them see it, too.
