Once complete, Maestri Field will feature a new grandstand with chair back seating for 600 spectators, along with a new conces sion area that will be housed at the grandstand’s base. Also an elevator will provide access to the new press box that will feature not only areas for the media and game operations staff, but also a suite with a bathroom and a wet bar.

The grandstand project is the final phase of the renovation project. The most recent phase was finished in 2011, which saw a newly renovated clubhouse complete with new lockers, meeting rooms and a coaches suite. The clubhouse is located behind the third base stands.

UNO is tentatively slated to open the ballpark with a game against LSU on Feb. 15, 2014.

SONS OF MAJOR LEAGUERS • James Boddicker's dad Mike played in the Major Leagues for 14 seasons, posting 134 wins and 116 losses with a 3.80 ERA and 1,330 strikeouts. Mike's career included time with the Ori- oles (1980-88), Red Sox (1988-90), Royals (1991-92) and Brewers (1993). Boddicker was a World Series champion with the Orioles in 1983 during a season in which he was named ALCS MVP. Boddicker was a 1984 All-Star and earned the Gold Glove in 1990. • Cameron Keener's father Jeff was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the seventh round of the 1981 MLB Draft. Jeff ap- peared in 23 games for the Cardinals during the course of the 1982 and 1983 seasons, known for his unusual submarine de- liver with which he delivered pitches with a sidearm/underarm motion, rather than over the shoulder. • Class of 2013 signee Zach Reboulet's father Jeff played in the big leagues for 12 years after finishing his college career at LSU. His career included stints with the Twins (1992-96), Orioles (1997-99), Royals (2000), Dodgers (2001-02) and Pi- rates (2003).
