The funding will provide educational opportunities to musicians and allow them to acquire equipment and obtain guest performances. These services will benefit the City and its residents by enhancing the quality of the arts in general and increasing opportunities for residents to hear and become educated about classical music. The third check is also for the Cordova Community Council Foundation to digitize past issues of The Grapevine Independent. This will create a searchable, online archive of 46 years of the publication, preserving this historical resource that documents contemporary Rancho Cordova history, including the incorporation of the City. The Rancho Cordova Historical Society is volunteering hundreds of hours to prepare the editions for digitizing.
