Celebrity News: Trista Sutter Explains Why ‘The Bachelorette’ Has More Success Than ‘The Bachelor’ By Diana Iscenko In the latest celebrity news, Trista Sutter, the first Bachelorette, revealed why The Bachelor has less success than its female-led spin-off. On a recent episode of UsMagazine.com’s “Here For the Right Reasons” podcast, Sutter explained why “women do it better.” The reality TV star claims a season’s success is based on how well it was cast and how open the lead is to finding love on the show. Sutter also acknowledges how easy it is to “get caught up in the lust factor.” In the franchise’s history, sixBachelorettes are still with their season’s winner, while only one Bachelor is married to his season’s winner. Several Bachelors have ended up with someone from their season after proposing to someone else. In celebrity news, Trista Sutter opens up about why The Bachelorette has more success stories than The Bachelor. What are some ways to tell the difference between lust and love? Cupid’s Advice: The start of a new relationship is exciting! It’s easy to get swept up with a new partner, but are you excited for the right reasons? If you’re not sure if you’re in love or in lust, Cupid has some advice for you. 1. You enjoy talking to them: Anyone in a new relationship will want to see their partner, but talking over the phone consistently might show that there’s a deeper level of connection. If you only talk to your new partner while seeing them in person, love may be taking a backseat to lust.

  • Bachelor Nation(S): the Construction of Romantic Love and Audience Investment in the Bachelor/Ette in Australia and the United States
. Volume 15, Issue 2 November 2018 Bachelor Nation(s): The construction of romantic love and audience investment in The Bachelor/ette in Australia and the United States Jodi McAlister, Deakin University, Australia Abstract: The Bachelor/ette is a franchise with iterations in multiple major Anglophone countries. It began in the USA in 2002, but in the last five years, new versions of the franchise have emerged, including in Australia (2013-). While The Bachelor/ette is an instantly recognisable global franchise, local cultural priorities inflect both the show and the ways in which audiences react to it. This article examines this phenomenon in two territories: Australia and the United States. It will outline the diegetic differences between the two franchises, and use two key case studies to elucidate, explore, and explain some of these divergences. These two case studies – the failed romances of Bachelorette Georgia Love and runner-up Matty Johnson in The Bachelorette Australia in 2016, and Bachelorette Rachel Lindsey and runner-up Peter Kraus in the US version of The Bachelorette in 2017 – represent two instances in which audiences became deeply invested in particular love stories. Thus, I closely read both case studies with references to major recaps. By doing so, I seek to shed light on the divergent romantic cultures of the United States and Australia, and show that while there are numerous overlaps and commonalities in these cultures, there are also distinct national preferences and desires around romantic love. Keywords: romantic love; The Bachelor; The Bachelorette; reality television; recaps Introduction In 2016, after Bachelorette Georgia Love rejected Matty Johnson in favour of Lee Elliott in the finale of the second season of The Bachelorette Australia, the reaction of the audience was one of disbelief and heartbreak.

  • Lauren Bushnell Celebrate Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties Together
Celebrity Couple Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell Celebrate Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties Together By Kayla Garritano From The Bachelor to the bachelor party! Celebrity couple Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell celebrated their upcoming marriage with bachelor and bachelorette parties this long weekend. According to UsMagazine.com, the Bachelor alumnae threw a joint party with all of their friends in Las Vegas! A picture shows them poolside with all of their friends on Thursday, October 6, just hanging out and celebrating before the big day. This celebrity couple did not want to celebrate separately! What are some ways to bring all your friends together before the big day? Cupid’s Advice: You don’t need to have a traditional “all girls” bachelorette party or an “all guys” bachelor party. Sometimes, the best way to celebrate your last days of not being married is to celebrate together. Here are some ways to conjoin your celebration: 1. Wedding party field day: Have your wedding party get to know each other a little better by battling it out. Team Bride vs. Team Groom. This will let your party bond over fun activities all while having some friendly competition. Plus, it’s kind of fun seeing your future spouse duel against you. Related Link: Celebrity News: ‘Bachelor’ Alum Lauren Bushnell Reveals Romantic Thing She Does for Ben Higgins 2. Vacation: Instead of a “party,” why not take a trip somewhere together? It’s just like a party, except you get to take a couple extra days off and relax for a little bit more. You still get to drink (responsibly, of course), and you get to enjoy each others’ company, while celebrating the same thing.
