St Enoder Parish lies on the northern fringes of the China Clay Area. Most of the early china clay workings have now been incorporated into Wheal Remfry and Melbur pits which continue in operation in the southern part of the Parish. The main settlements were by-passed in the early 1990s and over the last fifteen years, there has been considerable housing and related growth, Historic images on the following pages are as particularly around Fraddon, Indian Queens and St Columb Road.
