Administrative Experience at Angelo State University (August 2016 to Present)

Since becoming a faculty member (Clinical Assistant Professor: 8/2016 to present), I have gained experience with curriculum development, face-to-face and online course development,

Rev.: 8/10/2021 6 online student assessment, and student learning outcome assessment. Additionally, I have gained an understanding of the following areas: student supervision; advising social work students; and other service oriented and administrative tasks. Examples of these “other” service oriented and administrative tasks include, but are not limited to, serving on the Community Advisory Board, being the contact faculty member for the Make a Wish Foundation combined endeavor by the Student Social Work Association and the Social Work Honor Society Phi Alpha, assisting with the ASU Social Work Department's BSW program reaffirmation, assisted in drafting the documents pertaining to the CSWE approval for candidacy of the MSW program, assisted with the editing of the documents for Benchmark I and Benchmark II for the accreditation of the MSW program, being a committee member for a student thesis committee, being on a search committee for new faculty on 3 occasions, and writing the curriculum for the new MSW program at ASU. Panel member for the Blackboard Conference at ASU Fall 2019. In January 2020, I became the technology support person for the Social Work Department. I handle course copies, set up courses, provide support with deployment of quizzes and exams, trouble shoot for faculty and adjuncts, and I work very closely with new adjuncts to provide support and continuing education about Blackboard as they learn the system in conjunction with our Instructional Designer, Kristin Stanley. I am also currently researching articles with the goal of authoring a textbook on incorporating spirituality and religion into diverse and ethical social work practice.
