Two-Time Super Bowl Mvp Tom Brady And Emmy-Winning Broadcaster John Madden 'Call The Plays' For SIRIUS Satellite Radio Campaign Breaks August 2 To Promote NFL Sunday Drive, SIRIUS’Comprehensive Play-By-Play Package Two-Time Super Bowl Mvp Tom Brady And Emmy-Winning Broadcaster John Madden ‘Call The Plays’ For Sirius Satellite Radio NEW YORK, August 2, 2004 – Super Bowl MVP quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots is teaming up with 14- time EMMY Award-winning football analyst John Madden in a new ad campaign for SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI), the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NFL. The campaign will officially debut on August 2. The SIRIUS NFL Sunday Drive campaign, including television, radio and print ads will run on a variety of NFL and sports media all the way through the post-season. The humorous television spot, titled “Breaking News,”features Brady in his car showing off his SIRIUS receiver to Madden. Brady’s real-life wide receivers, Deion Branch, Troy Brown and David Givens appear in the spot, bewildered at Madden’s “breaking news”that a SIRIUS Satellite Radio is Brady’s “new favorite receiver.” The ad campaign promotes SIRIUS NFL Sunday Drive, the new programming package that lets subscribers choose from a full slate of live radio game broadcasts from around the NFL each Sunday. SIRIUS NFL Sunday Drive complements SIRIUS NFL Radio – the only 24/7/365 channel dedicated exclusively to pro football – launching on August 2. “This campaign will highlight SIRIUS’ unique ability to broadcast the entire NFL every week through SIRIUS NFL Sunday Drive, as well as show the ease and flexibility of satellite radio,”said Mary Pat Ryan, Executive Vice President of Marketing, SIRIUS.

  • Trademark Rights for Signature Touchdown Dances
Trademark Rights for Signature Touchdown Dances Abstract Famous athletes are increasingly cultivating signature dances and celebratory moves, such as touchdown dances, as valuable and commercially viable elements of their personal brands. As these personal branding devices have become immediately recognizable and have begun being commercially exploited, athletes need to legally protect their signature dances. This paper argues that trademark law should protect the signature dances and moves of famous athletes, particularly the signature touchdown dances of NFL players. Because touchdown dances are devices capable of distinguishing one player from another, are non- functional, and are commercially used in NFL games, the dances should be registrable with the USPTO as trademarks for football services. • All-Nfc North Team
ALL-NFC NORTH TEAM By Bob McGinn Posted: Dec. 31, 2005 Scouts from each of the NFC North teams were asked last week to rank the top three players in the division at each position. They were not permitted to vote for their own players, and none of the comments that follow in the position-by-position rundown was made by a scout about a player on his own team. A first-place vote was worth three points, a second-place vote was worth two and a third-place vote was worth one. Asterisks denote unanimous selections. OFFENSE NO. 1 WIDE RECEIVER: *Muhsin Muhammad (Chi.), 9 points. Others: Donald Driver (GB), 7; Roy Williams (Det.), 5; Travis Taylor (Minn.), 3. Comments: Muhammad dropped 11 passes and cost the Bears $12 million in signing bonus, but he was light years better than the No. 1 from '94, David Terrell. "It's a bad group," one scout said. "If (Rex) Grossman had been the quarterback it'd have been easier to determine where Muhammad is at in his career." Driver had one of his finest seasons. "He's still a better 2 than he is a 1," one scout said. Williams ranks as a two-year disappointment. "He has to understand the difference between being hurt and being injured," one scout said. LEFT TACKLE: Chad Clifton (GB), 8. Others: Jeff Backus (Det.) and John Tait (Chi.), 6; Bryant McKinnie (Minn.), 4. Comments: Clifton had too many penalties but made first team for the third year in a row. "He's close to elite," one scout said.

  • The Following Players Comprise the College Football Great Teams 2 Card Set
COLLEGE FOOTBALL GREAT TEAMS OF THE PAST 2 SET ROSTER The following players comprise the College Football Great Teams 2 Card Set. The regular starters at each position are listed first and should be used most frequently. Realistic use of the players below will generate statistical results remarkably similar to those from real life. IMPORTANT: When a Red "K" appears in the R-column as the result on any kind of running play from scrimmage or on any return, roll the dice again, refer to the K-column, and use the number there for the result. When a player has a "K" in his R-column, he can never be used for kicking or punting. If the symbol "F-K" or "F-P" appears on a players card, it means that you use the K or P column when he recovers a fumble. Players in bold are starters. If there is a difference between the player's card and the roster sheet, always use the card information. The number in ()s after the player name is the number of cards that the player has in this set. See below for a more detailed explanation of new symbols on the cards. 1971 NEBRASKA 1971 NEBRASKA 1972 USC 1972 USC OFFENSE DEFENSE OFFENSE DEFENSE EB: Woody Cox End: John Adkins EB: Lynn Swann TA End: James Sims Johnny Rodgers (2) TA TB, OA Willie Harper Edesel Garrison Dale Mitchell Frosty Anderson Steve Manstedt John McKay Ed Powell Glen Garson TC John Hyland Dave Boulware (2) PA, KB, KOB Tackle: John Grant Tackle: Carl Johnson Tackle: Bill Janssen Chris Chaney Jeff Winans Daryl White Larry Jacobson Tackle: Steve Riley John Skiles Marvin Crenshaw John Dutton Pete Adams Glenn Byrd Al Austin LB: Jim Branch Cliff Culbreath LB: Richard Wood Guard: Keith Wortman Rich Glover Guard: Mike Ryan Monte Doris Dick Rupert Bob Terrio Allan Graf Charles Anthony Mike Beran Bruce Hauge Allan Gallaher Glen Henderson Bruce Weber Monte Johnson Booker Brown George Follett Center: Doug Dumler Pat Morell Don Morrison Ray Rodriguez John Kinsel John Peterson Mike McGirr Jim Stone ET: Jerry List CB: Jim Anderson TC Center: Dave Brown Tom Bohlinger Brent Longwell PC Joe Blahak Marty Patton CB: Charles Hinton TB.

  • Denver Broncos Postgame Quotes & Notes
Denver Broncos Postgame Quotes & Notes Denver Broncos vs. Miami Dolphins • INVESCO Field at Mile High • Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004 DENVER BRONCOS HEAD COACH MIKE SHANAHAN On winning challenged Miami interception “I wasn’t sure I wanted the reversal at that time. We had (Miami) pinned back inside the ten-yard line. I talked to Jason (Elam) and we thought the wind was going too strong to try (a field goal) from that distance (51 yards). So we had to make up our minds if we wanted to punt it again or go for it, and it turned out to be the right decision even though we didn’t convert on the points. “I threw the flag.” On rookie RB Tatum Bell “Tatum has been having a few good weeks of practice. We think he has a big upside, and we think (Bell and Reuben Droughns) compliment each other. When Reuben had a couple fumbles early, we decided to go in that direction. Obviously (Tatum) did a great job. He has some big-play capability, and it was unfortunate that he had a third-degree separation in his shoulder and he couldn’t play anymore.” On severity of Bell’s left shoulder injury “I really don’t know, but a third-degree separation isn’t good.
