CARLOS SANCHEZ APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF FOX DEPORTES

Los Angeles, CA – FOX Deportes announced today that Carlos Sanchez, an accomplished media executive with extensive experience in the market, will join the company as Executive Vice President and General Manager. Sanchez will report to Jeff Krolik, President, Regional Networks.

Sanchez joins FOX Deportes from WNJU-TV in , where he served as President and General Manager, leading the station to multiple New York Emmy® Awards, including best “Evening Newscast” in 2012. In addition, Sanchez oversaw a major overhaul of the station’s content and technology, which included launching new weekend and morning newscasts and upgrading its facilities into a state-of-the-art studio, set, and control room.

Prior to his role with Telemundo in New York, Sanchez was Vice President and General Manager of Telemundo stations in Las Vegas and from 2005-2008. During his tenure, he oversaw the acquisition and integration of the Las Vegas station into the NBC Universal owned-and-operated stations group.
