Full-Stack Developer Full-stack developer Location: Remote (UK time zone only) Time: Full-time Compensation: £35,000 - £40,000 per anum + discretionary bonus About Role: We are looking for a full-stack developer to join the team. You’ll be taking on responsibility for a large part of our clients' technical stack and quickly become the go-to source of knowledge for it. You’ll need to be both very technical and business-minded, understanding our client's business requirements, and taking those from conception to production. We are also looking for someone that is able to develop the business, both taking responsibility for other team members and working with us on client procurement. Responsibilities: You will be a key player in a small team responsible for the delivery of client work, advising clients on technical solutions and assisting the companies growth through the procurement of new clients. ● Ownership of divisions within the tech-stack. ● Writing clean, concise, self-documenting code that both you and the team can still understand a year later. ● Participating in development, design and architectural sessions and reviews. ● Delivering solutions that are modular, scalable and portable. ● Working in an agile fast-paced environment and embrace change. ● You’ll actively look to mentor more junior engineers. ● You’ll take a holistic view of tasks. ● You’ll actively participate in technical decisions using the latest approaches and use cutting edge technologies and technique. ● You’ll be able to communicate frequently and effectively with clients. ● You’ll be a fully engaged, pro-active and collaborative member of the scrum team. ● Assisting the support team in investigating production issues where necessary. ● You’ll take part in feedback on pull requests, upholding company best practices. ● Work with cloud-based infrastructure (Google, AWS and Heroku) for hosting data solutions/applications. Must-haves: ● Experience with HTML, CSS and front end JS, ReactJS. ● Experience with Ruby on Rails and back-end JS (NodeJS & ExpressJS). ● Experience with SQL & NoSQL based solutions. ● Familiarity with CI/CD (Bitbucket Pipelines/Travis etc). ● Experience with Git source control. ● A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology subject. ● Independent work ethic. ● Understanding of Agile Methodology. ● Remote - You will be required to meet at least every 2 weeks in London. Travel & other expenses will be covered. ● You will aim to be available Mon-Fri between 10 AM - 4 PM. You will keep us up-to-date about when you won’t be around between these hours. ● You will be required to work 36 hours per week but we expect your quota to be fulfilled over 2 weeks. ● Eligible to work within the UK. ● Expert knowledge of the Silicon Valley TV show. Nice-to-haves: ● Entruprenal attitude. ● Enthusiastic about product development within the startup world. ● Professional and business skills to accelerate and grow the company. ● Ability to assist in the client, particularly government, procurement process. ● Professional writing skills and an ability to coherently convey technical solutions to non-technical clients. ● An ability to transform business requirements into technical requirements. ● An ability to develop an engineering-focused culture.
