Stewart Turner BSc(Hons) MSc CEng MICE MCIHT, Head of Roads - Roads Alliance, Opera House, 8 John Finnie Street, KA1 1DD Email: [email protected] For more information visit: www.tellmescotland.gov.uk COUNCIL (Route A70, Coalhall, , Glenbuck and ) (Temporary Road Closures and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2019 On 11/06/19 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of resurfacing works to be executed on or near the road. This Order makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on A70 from B730 (west of Coalhall over bridge) eastwards for 2.1km to the access to The Cottage, Drongan from 07:00 hrs on 29/06/19 until 18:00 hrs on 30/06/19, from 07:00 hrs on 06/07/19 until 18:00 hrs on 07/07/19 and from 07:00 hrs on 13/07/19 until 18:00 hrs on 14/07/19. Diversion via B730 Coalhall to Drongan, B7046 through Sinclairston and U728 Glenconner road to A70 at Mote Toll and vice versa. This Order makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on A70 Bridge St, from Kirk Green, Muirkirk to a point 400m west of the C38, Glenbuck from 08:00 hrs on 17/06/19 until 17:00 hrs on 05/07/19. Diversion via B743, A71, B7078 and A70 and vice versa. This Order makes it unlawful for any vehicle to wait at any time on either side of the lengths of A70 described above from 07:00 hrs on 17/06/19 until 18:00 hrs on 14/07/19. Please note that vehicular access onto the A70 during the road closure will not be possible via the B730 (east of Coalhall over bridge). The Order shall come into force at 07:00 hrs on 17/06/19 until 18:00 hrs on 14/07/19 and will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closures will be permitted to and from their properties when it is safe to do so but not through the works site. Emergency access will be maintained during the closures and through the works site. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closures.
