For a partial repowering, CroisiEurope also installed a D16 in a vessel that cruises the Rhone River. Only two weeks after vessel launch, Joel Haber, the Marine Commercial product specialist for France, received a call from CroisiEurope’s technical manager, Laurent Bodein. “We’re very satisfied with the Volvo Penta D16,” he said. “It gives us better torque and lower fuel consumption than the 19-liter engine we previously had installed.”

A NEW CHAPTER Volvo Penta is now working on an ambitious new project: the Loire Prin- cesse.
