The symposium builds on the tremendous success of the previous meetings, which took place in Bologna (2013), Glasgow (2012), Salamanca (2011), and Prato (2008-2010). IAFDS 2014 offers an excellent opportunity for students to present their work to an international audience outside their usual University environment. Prominent professors and researchers in the fields of accounting, banking and finance attend the symposium and provide detailed feedback to individual participants on their research. Each participant will receive a written review of their submitted paper, the opportunity to present their work to leading professors, a detailed one-on-one discussion with an experienced academic about their paper, and an excellent networking experience with other doctoral students from around the globe. 2 Symposium Venue Trondheim Business School Klæbuveien 72 3010 Trondheim Norway http://hist.no/content/36253/Trondheim-Business-School-TBS. Besides being a regional capital, Trondheim is an ecclesiastical centre, a centre for industry and commerce, and an important education and research centre. The city also offers a rich cultural life with international flavours, from museums and symphony orchestra to blues festivals. Wooden architecture adds its charm to the city which is often spoken of as the typical wooden cities of Europe. The city centre has many special wooden buildings, some of which were built as far back as the 1700s. Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim is Norway's national sanctuary, and is built over the grave of St. Olav, Norway's patron saint.
