Chandra relented and returned Tara who started living with Guru. However Tara was pregnant by that time and gave birth to Budha at Guru’s place. On being confronted, she accepted that Budha was son of Chandra. However Budha was so handsome, sharp, capable of grasping thing fast, and intelligent that Guru decided to accept him as his own son and taught him all the shastras (sciences), which Budha absorbed in a short time.

No serious attempt seems to have been made to determine the age of these ‘apaurusheyas’. In this short paper, an attempt has been made by the author to determine VEDIC AGE using Equinoxes and their precession. He relied heavily on available evidence in Rig-Veda, Vedanga Jyotisha, Brahma Siddhanta, Surya Siddhanta etc and quoted extensively from these sources to support his contentions. The author is neither a scholar nor a scientist. At best he may be called an ANALYST with bare minimum knowledge of Sanskrit. He has abundant curiosity to search for the truth beyond what is known. 2 In search of UNKNOWNs In Hindu mythology, Brahma is known to be responsible for creation of the Universe – including Earth, Planets, stars, oceans, living and non-living beings, सवेषामेव जंतूनां शतमेव आयु셁च्यते तद्चच्वासप्राण काल: समस्त्वेष बवबनणणयः Brahma’s life-span is also limited to 100 years in his time scale. Time Scales of Brahma and Humans are very different. He graduated from Sri Venkateshwara Vedic School, Tirupathi and came to US in 1994 to Aurora Temple, Chicago. In 1997, he was asked by Datta Yoga Center through Ganapathi Sachidanda Swa. miji's blessings to accept a position as Head Priest in Datta Temple, Baton Rouge, LA. He continued his career in Datta Temple as a registered Hindu priest with East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court. In august 2007, he got relieved from his responsibilities as Head priest from Datta Temple. During this time he performed many pujas in temple and with devotees all around the nation for many festivals and special occasions. Beginning August 2007, he independently started performing all religious ceremonies as a step towards building his personal service to the community. He started his first religious service with Lord Ganesh Puja on Vinayaka Chavithi on 09/15/2007 with all the support from devotees and friends. The article seeks to address the question by exploring images and god posters dedicated to the planetary deity Shani on Web 2.0. The article tracks Shani’s presence on a range of online platforms—from the religion and culture pages of newspapers to YouTube videos and social media platforms. Using Shani’s presence on the Web as a case study, the article argues that content drawn from popular Hinduism, dealing with astrology, ritual, religious vows and observances, form a significant and substantial aspect of online Hinduism. The article draws attention to the specific affordances of Web 2.0 to radically rethink what engaging with the sacred object in a virtual realm may entail. In doing so, it indicates what the future of Hindu religiosity may look like.
