Contact: Bonnie Goodman FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For Grand Park 213-308-9539 direct [email protected] The Music Center Presents Downtown LA’s Largest July 4th Celebration with Grand Park’s 4th of July Block Party – Free Blockbuster Event Will Light Up the Sky from the Rooftops Surrounding Grand Park – LOS ANGELES (June 3, 2015) – Angelenos will take over the civic center as they come together for an LA-style July 4th celebration at the third annual Grand Park’s 4th of July Block Party, presented by The Music Center. The free event, which runs from 3:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015, will feature music, art, dancing, food, family, friends and fireworks for a feel-good, hometown event unlike any other Downtown LA has seen. Grand Park will light up the civic center skyline with a new, first-ever rooftop fireworks display set to iconic American music. The block party will be spread over eight city blocks, from Temple Street to 2nd Street, and from Grand Avenue to Main Street. Grand Park’s Fourth of July Block Party is supported by the County of Los Angeles, City Councilmember José Huizar, Bank of America and KCRW. To help inform the discussion, please find attached a copy of a recent Phoenix Center paper entitled A Retrospective Analysis of Vertical Mergers in Multichannel Video Programming Distribution Markets: The Comcast-NBCU Merger. In this paper, Phoenix Center Chief Economist Dr. George S. Ford presents a retrospective analysis of the price effects of the Comcast-NBCU merger. In particular, Dr. Ford conducts an econometric analysis of data on the prices paid for programming by multichannel video programing distributors (“MVPDs”) before and after the transaction and finds no evidence that Comcast’s programming prices rose after the merger. The analysis covers general interest programming, news channels, and national and regional sports networks. Given these results, Dr. Ford concludes that there is either a lack of a net positive effect on incentives to raise programming prices above competitive levels following the vertical merger or that the behavioral remedies placed on the Comcast-NBCU merger were effective. -

In March 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of the employment market in the U.S., the unemployment rate had been 4.4 percent. Temporary help services jobs were essentially unchanged in March, falling by approximately 800 to a total of 2.77 million. They also remain down from their March 2020 level. The temp penetration rate — temporary jobs as a percent of total employment — fell to 1.92 percent in March from 1.93 percent in February. PREPARE TO LOAF OUT LOUD AS NICKELODEON DELIVERS NEW ANIMATION BREADWINNERS Expect hilarious escapades, high energy and booty-shaking music in plucky new series Breadwinners, premiering on Monday 22nd September at 4:30pm only on Nicktoons London, 20th August 2014 – New animated comedy Breadwinners follows SwaySway and Buhdeuce, two hilarious ducks who operate a bread delivery service out of their jet-fueled, Rocket Van, feeding hungry beaks everywhere. Breadwinners is an original production from the Nickelodeon Animation Studios and will premiere on Monday 22nd September at 4:30pm on Nicktoons. Throughout the series SwaySway, the upbeat leader of the flock and his loyal best friend Buhdeuce go on riduckulous adventures together. From eating a loaf of ‘Stank Bread’ and getting lost on the lower yeastside, to record-beaking attempts for most bread deliveries in one day, nothing will stop this duo from making a delivery all while shaking their tail feathers. Breadwinners will air regularly on weekdays at 4:30pm. For fans who can’t wait, the first episode will sneak beak on the Nick App on 15th September. In the series premiere, “Thug Loaf,” when SwaySway and Buhdeuce have to deliver bread to the bad part of Duck Town, they accidentally lock their keys in the Rocket Van and have to befriend a gang of Biker Ducks for help. The Nick App will also play host to the ‘Breadwinners Ducktionary’ where viewers can brush up on their beak lingo.
