The 6000-plus athletes will truly reflect the diversity of the nation’s youth and showcase their dreams, their hopes and their desire to make India shine on global platforms. They will not only come from urban and rural areas from the 29 States and seven Union Territories but also span a wide range of ages – from 10 to 21 years. Some like Jisna Mathew, who was part of the Indian team in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, will come with experience. Backstroke swimming specialist SrihariNataraj has already been to the Commonwealth and Asian Games.     Sport Programme Confirmed For Trinbago 2021 The Sport Programme for Trinbago 2021 has now been confirmed with eight exciting sports set to feature at the Commonwealth Youth Games next year. Trinidad and Tobago were awarded the right to stage the seventh edition of the Games by the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) in June last year with the competition set to take place from 1-7 August 2021. The eight sports that will feature at the 2021 Commonwealth Youth Games are: • Aquatics (Swimming) – male and female • Athletics – male and female • Boxing – male and female • Cycling (Road Race, Time Trial and Track) – male and female • Fast5 Netball – female • Rugby Sevens – male and female • Tennis – male and female • Beach Volleyball – male and female The Sport Programme for Trinbago 2021 was confirmed at a meeting of the CGF Sports Committee in London.
