Nickelodeon Gets a Fresh Look for the New School Year

London, UK – 2nd September, 2013 – The network is refreshing its Nickelodeon channel with a fresh look and to coincide with the start of children’s new school year and the brand’s 20th year in the UK. Live from this morning, viewers will see new interstitials that ‘mash-up’ Nick characters and stars that will provide navigation across the channel schedule.

The refreshed look will support the strong roster of new content rolling-out on the network this autumn including Sam & Cat and The Haunted Hathways, as well as highlight perennial favourites such as SpongeBob SquarePants, iCarly and . Nickelodeon star Brad Kavanagh lends his voice to the brand refresh, giving additional star power to the new look.

The new look will be echoed online at nick.co.uk. Kids will also have the chance to have their say with a new blog section, where fans are able to customise their own avatar, leave comments and share designed ‘stamps’ which express comments such as ‘awesome’ and ‘LOL’ all within a moderated environment.

Available in 14 million homes, Nick is the place where kids rule and features top shows such as Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards, Victorious, SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly. Launched in 1993, Nickelodeon brings hit international and locally-produced entertainment content to audiences in the UK and Ireland. Viewers can also watch Nick in high definition through Nick HD and have the opportunity to catch up with the schedule through Nick +1.
