ASIM KURJAK, professor emeritus, School of Medicine University of Zagreb, specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.
Born in 1942 in Vranić, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Graduated at School of Medicine University of Zagreb (1966), M.Sc. (1972) and Ph.D. (1977). From 1985-2002 Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Sveti Duh General Hospital.
Scientific interest: ultrasound and perinatal medicine. Principal investigator in several scientific projects, mentored 52 M.Sc. theses and 52 Ph.D. theses. Published more than 400 peer review articles, wrote or edited 111 books. His papers have been cited more than 5.390 times in Science Citation Index.

Professor Mohamed Aboulghar received his medical education in Cairo University and got his MBBCH in 1962. Shortly afterwards, he received his Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1965, then his Diploma on General Surgery in 1966 and finally his Doctorate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1969 all from Cairo University. He did post graduate training in Denmark, Sweden and the United States.
He has been Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, since 1979 up till today. He is the founder and Clinical Director of the Egyptian IVF Center. It is the first center in Egypt dedicated to treating patients as well as providing high quality research in human reproduction and genetics and training programs for candidates from all over the Middle East on techniques of Assisted Reproduction.
Throughout his career, Dr. Aboulghar has been involved in numerous scientific activities Dr. Mohamed Aboulghar worldwide. He participated in dozens of scientific conferences, and he published more than 150 scientific papers in top international journals. He participated in the writing of many international scientific books on infertility, and together with his team in the Egyptian IVF center he participated in many multicenter international studies.
He founded (and became the first president of) the Middle East Fertility Society (MEFS), which is the first and largest society in the Middle East in the field of reproduction. He is also the Editor-in-Chief and founder of the: Middle East Fertility Society Journal (since 1996). He is a member of numerous scientific committees of different international and regional societies all over the world (eg. ESHRE, ASRM, FIGO, IFFS, Endometriosis Society, ….etc), as well as editorial boards of many important scientific journals specialized in fertility and reproduction including Fertility and Sterility, which is the world’s top journal in its field. He has also been a reviewer for several international journals in the field, including Fertility and Sterility, Human Reproduction, Human Reproduction Update and Reproductive Biomedicine Online.
Dr. Aboulghar received the Egyptian National Award for Scientific Excellence in 1999. He also received the Honorary membership of the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) in 2004 and Honorary membership of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) in 2000.

Luciano trained in Italy, London and Manchester before being appointed as consultant in gynaecology and reproductive medicine at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, where he worked full time until 2011.
In July 2017 he was appointed as Visiting Professor to both Manchester Metropolitan University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering and the University of Catania’s Masters Programme in Biology and Biotechnology of Reproduction, in recognition of his long term commitment to research and teaching alongside his clinical career.
Luciano’s clinical and academic interests are in infertility, assisted conception, gynaecological endocrinology, pelvic pain, menstrual disorders and hysteroscopic management of uterine abnormalities. He has expertise in gynaecological ultrasound scan and management of early pregnancy problems including recurrent miscarriage. He has vast Dr. Luciano Nardo experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery for the treatment of endometriosis, adhesions, MD MRCOG fibroids, ovarian cysts, tubal surgery and other benign gynaecological conditions, and regularly performs complex laparoscopic procedures such as hysterectomy, myomectomy and reversal of sterilisation as day case procedures.
Luciano is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and an associate member of many other learned societies including the British Fertility Society (BFS), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy. He is a preceptor for the BFS special skills modules in Pelvic Ultrasound, Management of the Infertile Couple, Assisted Conception, Embryo Transfer/IUI, Male Fertility and Quality Management of a Fertility Service.
He has published in excess of 95 papers on many aspects of gynaecology, reproductive medicine and surgery, is a member of the editorial board of Reproductive BioMedicine Online and is regularly an invited speaker at national and international conferences.

Dr. Braulio Peramo, an Obstetrician, Gynecologist and IVF physician, is the Medical Director and the General Manager of the Al Ain Fertility Center (AAFC). Dr. Mohamed Momtaz is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2000 and founded the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Kasr Al Aini Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University and was appointed Director of the unit from 2008 - 2011.
He graduated from Kasr Al Aini Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University in 1981. He finished his residency program in the same hospital in 1986. He got his Master degree in 1985 and his M.D. degree in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1990. He was appointed Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. He received specialty training in Royal Free University Hospital in London, UK, Ultrasound Institute in Zagreb, Croatia and Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine, Philadelphia, USA.

Dr. Ozge Ayvaz has been working in Dubai Gynaecology and Fertility Center (DGFC) as a Senior Embryologist and PGD Specialist since February 2014. She graduated at Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey with a BS degree in Biology and received her Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy Studies. Dr Minassian completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 1990. He then graduated as a medical doctor from the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), Lebanon in 1994. After her Subspecialist training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London, she joined the Aberdeen Fertility Centre, Aberdeen Dr. Sesh Sunkara Maternity Hospital, and University of Aberdeen as a consultant. Her academic and MBBS, MD, MRCOG clinical interests include ovarian ageing and its impact of female fertility, ovarian stimulation regimens, implantation failure in women undergoing assisted reproduction treatment and evidence based medicine. She is an executive member of the RCOG – Reproductive Medicine Clinical Studies Group which is actively involved in supporting multi-centre research studies in the UK. She has published and lectures on topics in Reproductive Medicine. She is actively involved in organising national and international meetings/ workshops in Reproductive Medicine and is an Associate Editor for Human Reproduction (European Society of Human Reproduction Journal).

Focusing on Laparoscopic surgery since the early 90’s, Dr. Hafeez Rahman is a global pioneer and authority in this field. Most of the techniques he has developed over the years are followed the world over.
Spreading the benefits of Laparoscopy across Asia, the Middle East & Africa, he has taught and provided his expertise in countries like Malaysia, UAE, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Bangladesh to name a few. He is the first Indian surgeon to be invited as a training faculty to the Ministry hospitals in the UAE. He is also an invited faculty for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG), UK and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL). He has also won several awards for his contributions to the field of Endoscopy in India and abroad. He was the youngest chairman of FOGSI, the largest medical society in India.
Dr. Hafeez Rahman Having a passion for teaching, he has trained more than 2800 Gynecologists of all levels of Specialist Obstetrics & experience over the past 24 years in the art of Laparoscopic surgery. Gynecology As of today, he has performed more than 120,000 Laparoscopic surgeries - witnessing the number of cases performed by Dr. Hafeez Rahman in a single day, the American Journal of Endoscopy cited him as the ‘Miracle Doctor’ in their editorial.
