2013 NCAA DIVISION II MEN’S CHAMPIONSHIPS REGIONAL SELECTIONS

INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA has announced the field of 80 teams and 32 additional

student-athletes competing as individuals that have been selected to participate in regional

competition of the 2013 NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championships. The regional

competitions will be conducted May 6-8.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from

each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals May 20-24, at Hershey Country

Club in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In addition, the fourth and fifth place teams from both the

Central and Midwest Regional and from the South Central and West Regional will advance to the finals. From the South and Southeast Regional, the teams finishing fourth, fifth, sixth, and

seventh will also advance to the finals. The finals will be hosted by Millersville University of

Pennsylvania at Hershey Country Club (East Course).

There will be four regional sites in which two regions will meet and conduct regional

tournaments. The regional tournaments will be paired as follows:

Nova Southeastern University defeated California State University, Chico in medal/match

play by a score of 5 to 0, to claim their first men’s golf national championship in school history.

Josh Creel, University of Central Oklahoma, shot a 10-under par 206 to claim the individual title.

The championships were hosted at the Cardinal Club Golf Course in Simpsonville, Kentucky, by

Bellarmine University.
