BOOK FA IR! By Camryn Sanchez Last week, 11th through the 15th of November, the book fair came to the Polo School district. Anyone was welcome to come to check out books or to buy books or utensils for everyday use. This year we had a wide selection of books from suspenseful, to cheerful and crime to superhero action. Here are some few words about how the book fair went for the staff and how much profit the school made. ?The book fair went really well this year. I made more money than last year, which means more books for the students and the library. Family night had a great turn out. All my teacher readers showed up to read to the students and even though it was a cold cold evening. Parents came out to get books for their kids. I was surprised and proud of the support the book fair got this year.? - Rita Hildebrand 2 Current Events Narw hal the Puppy By: M aci M ills There?s a 10 week old puppy in Missouri with a tail growing out of his head. It has no real use, but it also doesn?t hurt him at all, so the tail is here to stay. Photos are important in everyone's of loved ones as possible. Get that shot of the beautiful scenery. life, it's something that I believe is underrated. They connect us Because that is the gift of photography. to our past, remind us of people, feelings, faces, events that occurred, and they tell a story. Every photo being unique in its own way. Personally I don't have many photos of my childhood, and that's something I think people take for granted. I'm not allowed to go back and look at the events that occurred and made me who I am today, instead those events remain as forgotten memories. Photos create stories and expressions, they allow us to see those loved ones everyday, they allow us to remember that one time something big occurred, they help us look back on who we where and how we've grown. So take every photo possible, look back on it and smile. Allow yourself to forget those memories so you can go back and look at them to be reminded that they once occurred.
