After carrying out the 7 plate upgrade it is required that an ECU fl ash upgrade be carried at the dealer. The correct clearance for the forward clutch is 1.50mm, to check this a specially shaped pair of feeler gauges is required as well as a tool to push down on the pressure plate to facilitate the check. Feeler gauge Kit Pressure Plate Depressor Part No. 01J.TOOL03 Part No. 01J.TOOL04 The clearance for the reverse brake is suggested to be around 1.30mm to 1.50mm and is determined by subtracting the distance of the cover plate to the apply piston, from the distance of the clutch pack to the edge of the case. Adjustment to clutch clearances is made possible by selective thickness steel plates; these plates are available in kit form or as separate plates as follows: Part No. 01J.CK03 Forward Selective Steel Plate Kit, contains 2 each of the following selective plates.
